@@nullpoint3346 Yeah, I mean when's the last time you had an existential crisis after looking at a chimpanzee? I feel like it would actually be really offensive to them to insinuate that some simple, instinct driven creature that superficially resembles them is one of their family members. But then if you've played New Leaf you start to see the boundaries of their intellect pretty quickly.

+Bel-Shamharoth it's calming af and slowly building up your town can be really satisfying. you can also get really attached to some villagers and it's heartbreaking if they leave, the sense of community can be really strong as you just go about each day doing odd little things here and there. so its... kind of a town simulator? i guess that's the best way to describe it. it helps a lot of gamers who have anxiety and depression. it's not a game about losing or failing, it's just a game about living.

You must not admit it for it shall consume you. Freedom is in the denial. New Leaf is my first Animal crossing - it was 70% off, so seemed a bargain for what is a well reviewed Nintendo title. It turned out that was just Nintendo's equivalent of giving free samples of weed outside high schools. Honestly I was only saved by owning it on cart and not being arsed to keep switching them over - people who bought this as digital download probably haven't been seen for a few months.

I think it's more that as the ground settles over time new fossils become visible on the surface so you can dig them up. Ya know, like when it rains it washes away some of the dirt and reveals cracks in the ground where fossils have been all along.

Joseph Murray It's the factor of responsibility. Most people (majorly women) have a need to take care of another, or look after, and possibly communicate with another being; human, animal, imaginary friend, etc. Animal Crossing supplies that need and then some, as it is a game, passes time, and gives "exciting" 'good job!'s. Honestly, like Yahtzee puts it, you're either really bored and have nothing to do, or "you do it to yourself, ba dow dow, and that's what really hurts".

You can try to play furniture Tetris, but about a minute in a random villager will barge into your house and won't leave until you leave your own home or satisfy whatever amount of social interaction they require. They really should fix that in future titles, like an ability to lock your door or put the villagers who have annoyed you on spikes on your front lawn to ward others away.

I only played the original, but I found that what actually was the most exciting for me wasn't the random encounters, having the best furniture, paying off my debts or even the villagers. Well, as a teenage female who likes cute things and has an anxiety disorder, this game is the best for me. It's cute, calming, very charming, and with all kinds of features (decorating your house, the town itself, qr codes, street pass with other players and get to see their houses in the showcase (you even get cute, special items like balloons and ice cream! aaah~ cuuuuuuUUUTE)) it makes it excessively fun to play. I guess you just have to need some relaxation time and have to like cute things to play this game. Also, you can't just look at this game as "you're forever in debt", you can, of course, take that in your own time and hands. Nook obviously does not care when you pay it off, he just wants you to be happy. It's your choice what you do in the game... you don't HAVE to do anything. lol

I get that some people don't like this game, but I think it's pretty great for an in-betweener kind of thing. I usually play it for an hour after I wake up so I can fully pull myself out of sleep and relax a bit, and I play it an hour or so before bed so I can get lots of beetles and make lots of bells because I'm in deep with the raccoon mafia. It's a very simple, sweet game. I'm currently working on my house and planning and re-coloring all the furniture I'm collecting so I can get good points with the locals who break into my house every day while I sleep to judge me.

I realized that a) you're half right, and b) I misheard him. The correct ending is actually "britische Schwein," which is probably what he actually said. It would be "britisches" if there had been "ein" or something similar before "Schwein," but since there wasn't, no "s." Thank you for pointing out I was wrong, but my point still stands.

I loaded up Animal Crossing Wild World after a year long abscence. It is a desolate wasteland. No villagers remain, just the decaying corpses of those who couldn't get out quick enough. The town gate has been torn off its hinges as Copper and Booker turn to alcoholism to deal with the fact that nobody wants to come in, and nobody is left who can escape. Tom Nook spends his days following an imaginary shopper to the endless cacophony of Nookington's theme music. Harriet is cutting the hair of a long dead skeleton, and blood lines the floor of her salon. Timmy and Tommy spend all day looking at each other unblinkingly asking why nobody wants furniture any more. Mabel's skeleton is sat at the front of the shop while Sable sews the same pattern for no reason, endlessly. Blathers is no longer asleep, for he cannot sleep due to the things he has seen. I dug up a fossil, took it to him for identification, and he identified it as the skull of Phyllis from the town hall. Celeste has committed suicide. Brewster's wings are just nubs as he has been cleaning the same cup for 6 months. If you talk to him, the only words he can muster are 'why did God abandon us?'. Tortimer spends all day speaking to imaginary residents. Pelly is upbeat as ever, seemingly unaware that the recycle bin is full of bones. Mr Resetti, now above ground, sits with his blood soaked axe saying 'I had to'. Dr. Shrunk has forgotten all emotions except sadness and fear. As I go to my house, I see the window has been put through and the words 'WHY DID YOU BETRAY US' are written in blood on my walls. And there are lots and lots of weeds.

Rukifellth The Shadow well I know that in javascript it is === instead of == but the = operator and the == operator are never interchangeable I mean think about statements like: bool variable= 12==12; could never be possible if the operators were interchangeable(though I personally would never make such statements and what not) Owen Smith maybe if I used conditional statement instead of if statement but I think they are interchangeable...
@Redspecialist300
@Redspecialist300 10 жыл бұрын
Rukifellth The Shadow In most cases each programming language offers a different way of calling methods, creating a class hierarchy, ect, but among all languages = is used to represent the assignment of a value to a variable. Thus = is never used as a way of representing a Boolean, true/ false, expression. Instead, as Jacob has previously mentioned, ==, ===, and specialized methods are used to compare values as the same; not =. By the way programming is very fun and I recommend you take time to learn the skill because not only is it interesting but it will help you in real world, non- programming, situations as well.
