Lego Dimensions - Dr. Eggman cutscenes & in-game dialogue

Lego Dimensions Eggman deserves much more appreciation and it’s about time I compiled his precious scenes and dialogue for a video! He’s very funny and entertaining with great moments and lots of fun references, all well performed by Mike Pollock. His Lego design is also so beautiful. 💜
It's not every in-game voice clip for Eggman in the entire game in this video because after a few replays of this level pack, I’ve found that some clips are only occasional, and he has a number of alternate lines for certain actions. I made sure to record all that played during this playthrough, though! I can say that all of the actual cutscenes are definitely here - and the main story dialogue. Also, the master emerald snatching scene in the cave and his absolutely golden mission dialogue that takes place in the hub world. Enjoy!

The most beloved, funniest & most memorable part about Eggman's in game commentary/dialogue in Lego dimensions is that you can always tell how much fun mike Pollock is having. For me it's not just for meme & jokes, I also see it as how much Eggman is so lovable & laughable. A Iconic villain with a massive sense of humor.

EGGSactly! That's why I don't understand why some people think that Eggman is better off without comedy to his character. It's a huge part of what makes him so fun and lovable, the way he's a perfect balance of humorous and evil. I unironically love the moments and lines referenced so it's not about the memes for me either. Mike Pollock's performance was fantastic and you can always tell he's having a good time! It's always best when the actor can have has much fun as the character.

yeah me too. it's really clever that they made this design based off their big fig line, instead of the slim mini figure bases, or needing actual bricks to build him like the new set. I guess the body of the new one is okay but the actual round egg shape possible on the big figure design is miles better. and the head especially... it's perfect in this so it's tragic that the set version has the weirdest burger head lol. I'll be sad if we never get a real big fig Eggman :')

I didn't forget it, I specified in the description that, unfortunately, I couldn't record all the dialogue due to the way it's not easy to trigger every one to play in a single playthrough. I could only capture everything it played for me. That's why I didn't specify 'all' in the title, which is what I do for the videos that do have every line/scene in the games I'm recording.

So basically as the other commenter said, "yosh" is a Japanese word meaning "yes", "alright", "okay", and/or any other variant of confirmation phrases. Now what does this have to do with Eggman? See, in Sonic Adventure 2, perhaps while translating the lines (a little triva, SA2 was made in San Francisco, but the lines were recorded in Japan first), some Japanese words were overlooked and left over. The particular "yosh" line is used for Eggman whenever he jumps, locks onto at most 6 targets and successfully shoots them, and his victory animation before the results and ranks screen. The line of course became a meme with others, mostly due to the delivery and frequency the player would hear them. TL;DR Poor script translation made yet another Eggman line memorable

Kind of hard to tell which line you're asking about since there are two lines within seconds of each other. The "Yosh" seems to be something Eggman would say in Sonic Adventure 2's Chao Garden when petting a Chao. "I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!", on the other hand, was commonly said in "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" when Dr. Robotnik has his plan foiled in said cartoon.
