You are cutting in the wrong direction, that's why it's jerking a lot. The sawblade should always rotate against the direction that you are pushing the stock. Not that this will improve it a lot 😂

I get that :) but you still wouldn’t put your finger near that plastic blade. On my second saw video even the plastic blade could cut part way through some wood. The problem here was the friction slicing between the middle as both sides of the carrot were pushing against it.

Great I’ll check it out. Yeah some RC cars do seem too quick to almost enjoy but we all love a bit of power and speed.. I do love the crawlers, you just need the right bit of ground to enjoy them on. great vid! small suggestion though: what if you put a flywheel of some kind, so when you cut something, theres more power on the saw. instead of relying solely on the strength of the motors, there was more power. yes, it would put stress on the motors to spin it up to speed, and if its fast enough, it might need a gearbox or something, but i just wanted to add this. ;)
@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines3 ай бұрын
Hey there thank you for the comment, I’ve thought long about this and I should have tried this to see which works better. As a slicing machine I think a flywheel would have been better but I’m not sure it would help during a long cut like with the wood as it just means more drivetrain loss. For an initial cut the flywheel would be great but it could also put too much stress on the Lego axles which I was also worried about. Thanks for the input it’s appreciated :)

I'm amazed this didn't just snap the centres on the gears with all that power at any stop.
@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines2 ай бұрын
With the gearing the torque wasn’t very high so it managed luckily. When you put motors in that configuration it’s amazing how much force pushes out on them. You have to brace it so it doesn’t push apart :)
