Honestly one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. So great to see an LPE off the bench and start powering something.

Perhaps you could add a clamp on the air line moved by another rc motor, to act as a throttle?

Excellent man! I'm working on a E-100 that I was either going to have a v8 lego LPE engine but I will give your 4 boxer a try because It is a lot smaller and would fit much better than my v8 design. The only problem I am running into is a good strong tank transmission which I am leaning towards differential braking or Sariel's tank subtractors. Keep up the good work. I plan on posting a video of my E-100 LPE build by the end of January.
@Brett_M
@Brett_M Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I made Sariel’s subtracters and there was way more gear slop than the one I ended up using (mine is half to 3/4 of a turns Sariel’s was almost 2 turns). The transmission an steering gearbox I used is pretty strong but if you are making a bigger tank, I would suggest to use a transmission with multiple speeds, and a neutral and reverse. Also, I am making instructions for my chassis they will be ready at 1000 subscribers. I highly suggest using my upgraded version of the flat four instead of my old version since the new one is way more powerful.

@@Brett_M Very cool I appreciate you sending out instructions in the near future! I very curious on how my E-100 will handle and probably have much less fuel range then what you have right now! Weight is going to be a big factor with my design but hope to see some more additions and upgrades toward your design in the near future.
@Brett_M
@Brett_M Жыл бұрын
@@lordawesomejds3531 I probably won’t have any upgrades for a little bit since when I am done with the instructions I will be making the rocket artillery truck from Nifeliz run with a pneumatic i4.

Looks good, any thoughts on how well a dry ice bottle with a safety valve might work as an air source?
@Brett_M
@Brett_M Жыл бұрын
I bet it would work pretty good. Only thing is co2 bottles are way harder to fill than hpa.
@nuclearpillow1677
@nuclearpillow1677 10 ай бұрын
i love this so much, is the air compressor worth it? also how long can you run it on the bottle before it’s out?😊
@Brett_M
@Brett_M 10 ай бұрын
I would definitely say the compressor is worth it just a warning the compressor is for high pressure 500-4500psi and extreme caution should be used when operating. I have been using the compressor a ton for a few months now and it never missed a beat I would recommend it. The compressor is meant for filling high pressure paintball tanks and PCP airguns which it works great for. Also the engine which leaks air a ton runs for around a minute on that really small tank. I’m sure the run time could be improved if the leaks in the engine were fixed and if a larger tank was used.

I thought I replied to you a while ago with this same question? I’m just wondering if KZbin is having a problem and removing my replies? Anyway to answer your question i believe it could run for 2 minutes or so. This engine as a ton of leaks my new engine with the 3d printed cylinders can run much longer! Thanks for the comment!!!

@Brett_M
@Brett_M Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if I’ll make instructions. There are a lot of gears and pieces that are tricky to fit. Also the engine can run for about 2 hand a half minutes with all the leaks the system has.

@@Brett_M Do they provide a lot of friction? I've used string as a ring before and I wanted to know if these rubber o rings are a better alternative because using string is very finicky.

@@dandzsemz9874 as long as you oil them with something like vegetable oil they don’t have much friction.
