Honestly worth it just for the reindeer. Everything else is a bonus. Honestly think the sleigh's size makes sense, considering how much cargo Santa needs to carry in it. Kind of weird with those side studs; some tiles or something would make sense there. It does indeed seem like something was meant to be there and possibly got cut due to parts budget. It doesn't make sense as a detail otherwise. If I got that would attach something there or just replace them with normal bricks.

I like that Santa has a candy cane print but I wish there was a candy cane piece. I'm sure they'll make one someday. Maybe its difficult to get a swirl of colors like that though in a piece. It could also come in a solid color and just be useful as a bar piece that curves on one end.

The exposed studs on the sides of the sledge are odd. The only thing I can think of is maybe they're so minifigs can be posed climbing (albeit at a weird angle) into the sledge. 🤷‍♂️

It looks like the sleigh could hold two minifigures. You know what that means, right? Recreating The Santa Clause in Lego. As for those exposed nubs, some yellow/gold flat circles would work there. Or maybe a transparent piece for a jewel-like effect.
