Happily surprised the TIE is the larger scale instead of the new scale they've been going with. I'm not a fan of the "Shrink-flation" Lego was doing with those smaller ones. This set is actually an insanely good value.

Not just not accessible but it would look more scale-correct with TIE sets already on store shelves. Honestly I kind of wish the interceptor had been a little more in proportion with the other modern TIEs and more parts had gone to the Fang fighter to make the wings rotate. The TIE would look better with its counterparts and the Fang would be more accurate (theoretically, as we don’t know if it’s the same fang fighter seen elsewhere).

I noticed a lot of reviewers don't seem to care about the astromech, but i really like it. Especially since it is not the 100th rd-2d but a nice imperial one. Din Jaren feels the most out of place figure in the set imo. LEGO seems to have a tendency to throw him into every mandalorian set.

I don't know why everyone is mad at Mando being included in this set. You'd be surprised how many people only buy one set per wave (giving people more opportunities to get the main character).

Bought and built this set last Wednesday. It was a satisfying build process. I didnt have any expectations on the fang fighter. I already knew the wings dont rotate around the canopy as is seen in the Rebels show. But in the Mandalorean show that functionality isnt highlighted anyhow, so we cant blame Lego on that. I just like building it. Very interesting way of mostly stacking plates. Nothing fancy about it, but still, the end result is great. The size of it is a lot bigger than I anticpated based on the boxart. The TIE interceptor is even better. Again, nothing fancy, but the way the bars between the wings and canopy are designed are just great. It is solid as a rock. Only bad thing are the clearly visible blue pins at the back of the TIE. I think a 1x1 - 1x2 bracket piece will solve that issue. I tried the 1x1 round tile with pin, but that was still a bit too big. But that is just a minor issue. It is shaped so well. The price of 100 Euro's / Dollars is ok. At least I can live with it. I was lucky though to get it for 85€. Definatly one of the better, if not the best, playset Lego released last 3 years.

The fang is a different shit than the gauntlet which is the one that rotates, it's probably from an early draft of the show that was supposed to have these small fighters but they got cut

@@theamericanpotatonamedphil4306 the gauntlet has rotatingvwings when landing as seen in the mandalorean show and clone wars. However in rebels they als fly fanf fighters and those wings rotate during a dogfight. Maybe another type, but the.look a lot like fangfighters and clearly aint gauntlets

I think I would've preferred the tie interceptor as a solo set, and this isn't a problem with this set as much as it is the other tie fighters but in comparison the interceptor looks way to big (despite being a better scale)

Agree. I'm completely underwhelmed by the fang fighter. If the wings did something, or if the color scheme were nicer, I'd consider getting this set.

I have a feeling this is the show's fault. They really emphasized that new Mandalorian character in the set but they barely used him in the show. I have a feeling the finale was supposed to be way longer which is so unfortunate. Right as soon as the tie bombers and interceptor hit the main ship, they just vanish. There is no mention of them after either. I really think that this Mandalorian was supposed to have a scene of him flying the Fang Fighter and destroying the Tie Bombers and Interceptors. I really want to know what happened with the finale, was it a lack of budget because the finale was so short. I still liked it but it could have been way better.

I feel like the fang fighter gets severely over looked. It’s such a well detailed set just like tie fighter. I think this set is showing the clear improvement lego has been making in ship design/ quality of the build.

The TIE in this set is wonderful. I feel like if these were tow separate sets it would be $65 for the Intercepter and $35 for Fang Fighter. $65 feel more worth it for the Intercepter than the Bomber which felt more like a $50 set tops. I think if the Bomber was more in scale with the 2017 TIE and this Intercepter it would be more worth it.

Begging your pardon but this is the second set after the UCS Razor Crest that has this version of Mando with the new helmet print, where regular Joes can get their hands on. So, yeah, a lot of us appreciate Lego having this minifig in this set.

I’m super happy with the TIE Interceptor. I made a couple mods to it. I swapped the shooters for bricks with studs on the side to put red studs for the blasters, swapped the windshield for the 2017, more detailed windshield, and swapped the dishes on the wing panels for the printed TIE Fighter tiles that should have been there. I’m going to swap the cockpit of my 2017 TIE for one of these too, since this one looks so good and Fighters and Interceptors share the same cockpit.

Whilst its nice to see a new build I am kind of disappointed that the Tie interceptor doesn't appeared to be in the same kind of lineage as the most recent Tie Fighter. I was kind of hoping for a little more visual consistency and not sure how I feel about it dwarfing the TIE Bomber.

I love this set! The only complaint I have is that the Fang Fighters wings don’t turn and the minifigure selection is a little lacking. First day buy for me! I am a bit surprised and really happy that it is in the scale of the 2018 Tie Fighter, they will look great together on my display!

This is a SOLID piece of Kit, i LOVE THIS!!!! set and two pack sets in general from Star Wars. The Interceptor looks very sleek and highly swooshable too. The detailed lip/edge on the wings, greebling on the sides and targeting sensor make for a premium model. Its a shame that the back has those blue technic pins exposed but i can certainly get over it, as overall it looks great and for £90 UK a MUST BUY/EZ purchase defo getting this one. I like the scales with the Solo TIE if only i had it tho. The FANG Fighter looks like a solid build and a fine addition to my collection, very happy with this set now all i need to do is buy it. Might even save it for a B-Day present XD.

My only ick with this set is having yet another Astromech instead of another named Mandalorian (Bo Katan, Axe Woves, etc). But thats a very minor thing, and I'll definitely be picking this up

this is such a cool set i'm probably most likely getting this with the midi scale executor but I just wish the interceptor was a separate set like we ALL know we are just getting it for the interceptor the fang fighter is really cool but like I wish we didn't have to pay $100 to get it in a 2 in one set. so I really think they should've the Mandalorian with like the super commando because we all know the pattern here is every tie fighter we are getting comes with an imperial droid so that's why I don't think that it's bad they included r2 e6

66th like, this is the Way. I do agree that Din Djarin wasn't a necessary addition, and we could have gotten Axe Woves with the Fleet Commander, but I do enjoy how fully equipped the Commander is, with a hairpiece and all. Also, that Imperial R-series unit was really unnecessary too and we could have gotten a new Gideon variant instead. Love the TIE Interceptor as well!

I would’ve felt better about Djarin’s inclusion if they actually included a hairpiece. An unnamed character gets an alt hairpiece, but not the main character?! The darksaber piece almost makes up for it but really should’ve been in the N1 set, I’m still amazed that LEGO used the black lightsaber blade piece to depict it…

On one hand I was disappointed to see that the fang fighter’s large wing doesn’t rotate, but I kind of wonder if this is supposed to be a different version that lacks that feature, particularly since the cannons are mounted on top of the wing, which would mess with the symmetry needed for balanced rotation. Even though actually seeing them in action in the show could have made that clear

The Gauntlet fighter's wing rotation was removed in The Mandalorian, so it makes sense that it would be removed for the Fang Fighter as well

I wish the fins rotated (they are supposed to, they do in rebels) but it shouldn't be hard to modify in. I also wish the interceptor wings folded, but I can understand avoiding that for the sake of stability.

Honestly. If they wanted to give us an astromech droid so bad instead of another minifigure. They should have included r5. He was actually in the show for a decent bit, he contributed to the plot in a few episodes even if it wasnt extreme how he contributed. And the tie interceptor doesnt have a place for an astromech droid so i just cant imagine why they would have given us an imperial astromech droid for this set. R5 doesnt make sense for it either because he wasnt involved in the starship battles but is a better fit than a inperial astromech droid that showed up for .5 seconds in the jack black lizzo episode. Psh

Its rare that Tie Bomber has a lot of pieces. I remember more than 700 pieces and the result is a smaller ship. Anyway these versions are way cheaper and a good option for us not having too much money to expend.❤

The knly thing im fully dissapointed in on this set is that bo katan wasnt there with her new shoulder patch, the dark saber ( because it shouldnt be in din djarins hands at this point this set is supposed to be based off of ) the astromech droid wasnt needed. Theres not even a spot in a tie fighter for an astromech droid so it just doesnt make sense for it to be in the set. I can get over not having seen the dog fight in the show because its atleast reasonable to assume that was happening in the skies during what we were watching happen during the show

The Fang fighter wasn't even in the show since they where all gaunlet like ships. you can see it because of the large defference in size and also because of the different looking engines. But still a great set

The fang fighter actually was in Mandalorian season 3, it was just hard to spot because it was only in background shots and briefly seen in pairs escorting the Kom’rk transports.

I think the only places this set falls short is the fangfighter doesn’t spin (both gauntlets and fang fighters have wings rotate around them) and the mini fig choices are abysmal. Seriously LEGO, ANOTHER Din, another reused tie pilot, another boring astromech, and one good minifig? I’d expect at least two more minifigs for that price point, or expect them all to be stellar, like in the Inquistor Scythe. I think a slightly unique tie pilot, mando fleet commander, axe woves, two super commandos, and din would’ve been a better choice
