To clarify: At 2:48 I say "...the Lambda-*derived* shuttle design," a reference to the fact that this Sentinel is *derived* from the design of the Lambda-class shuttle, as are most of the shuttles introduced to Star Wars since RoTJ regardless of canonical era. This is obviously not a Lambda-class shuttle :)

I have to disagree with you on the new republic fighter tank. It’s the perfect scale with the figures and looks perfectly detailed. Although, I don’t like the stud-shooters and wish there were flick fire missiles at least

I've got this set and I absolutely love it. It consists of just 471 pieces, but they managed to do so much with them; all the features and playability, and it can still carry 5 minifigs; simply amazing. I also eagerly await new one from the Lego Group.... it's been 10 long years.

This was one of my fave sets as a kid, I remember editing it quite substantially, making the spine of it a lot thicker and stronger, making the wings and fin much longer and sturdier, and my fave thing, removing the cannons to improve the usable space within the set, and with the shooters removed you can fit about 14 'doods' standing.

For anyone unfamiliar with this craft.... It's first appearance was in the 1997 Special Edition release of A New Hope. The vehicle can also be seen in Rebels transporting anyone from Troopers to Governors to Vader himself. This is what was used before the classic Lambda Shuttle we all know and love came around

I always saw this in catalogs and always wanted it more than any other set. There's some sort of weird "coziness" feeling that I get from troop transports or mobile bases. Anyway, that was before I was aware of being able to buy sets from the internet, (I was 6 or 7 in 2007) so I never saw it in stores and never got it. -Also I just noticed Jangbrick's motto, "Build it, and they will play", is -_-probably-_- a reference to Trump's wall. "Build it, and they will pay".-

I remember getting this set on clearance at Wal-Mart when I was little. I really liked the ship and the big ol' technic shooters. However, I never knew about the action feature shown at 4:19. Instead I'd always just opened the sides to fire the cannons. Nonetheless, it's a great set and I really enjoyed seeing it again in this wonderful review :)

I know its been a while since this video has been posted. I Salvaged and Rebuilt my LANDING CRAFT looking in a few big boxes full of LEGO at a store. Before I noticed I was looking at the pilot behind glass. It was ugly. Until i needed it to make the build more Original. The next time I went up to get it. IT WAS GONE NOOOOOO!!!! Cool part is I Salvaged and Rebuilt More than 10 other older LEGO Star Wars Sets from the same Boxes. Including the BIG Clone Republic TANK And LAAT 7163. That was Fun!

You could use that figure compartment as just a bunker or something, or the shuttle itself can be a dropship. You have cannons and an "armory" to store weapons.

I want them to make a new version of this ship in the correct color. I got the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium and it's awesome. Just so long as they don't make the Star Wars: Rebels version. The Sentinel-Class Shuttle is supposed to have *straight* wings, not bent like the Lambda. One of my major nitpicks with Star Wars: Rebels... in addition to the Star Destroyer's command tower being too tall and the TIE Fighter's wings being too small.
