For as much as we all want minifigures in the theme, I gotta give some admiration that they almost always bring something different for the +18 set each year. I only have The Mighty Bowser, but this one may be my 2nd favorite of them because of the functionality and how well they nailed the pixel sprite look

I agree, but how hard would it have been to just…throw in a SMW Mario and Yoshi figure like UCS sets do? They’ve made it painfully obvious they have no intention in making Mario minifigs (for whatever reason), but I just wish we could get a valid reason for why not…

I wish they put more Easter eggs or mini sprites on the sides and back. Not fully covering it up but still giving you something to look at

10:17 the reason that somethings do and don't have outlines, it's just Mario World's art style, pixelart and art on genral use that to make it more "realistc"

This translates really well into Lego with the sprites to tiles. I like it because it’s more affordable than the other Mario 18+ sets, and it’s bigger than the piranha plant. I just wanted something Mario themed and worth buying, so I pulled the trigger

This set is like a fusion of Mega's Motion and Pixel sets for Pokemon. While the Pixel sets were also newly introduced this year, I do wonder if they took some inspirations from those Motion sets as those are a few years old now.

This is incredibly nostalgic! Super Mario World was my favorite Nintendo game growing up, and Yoshi was one of my favorite parts of it! I'm surprised by all the functionality; I thought only the arm and legs would move when you turned the crank! And the animation that plays out on the character screen is so cool! I haven't collected any LEGO Super Mario sets yet, but I'm tempted to get this one!

A long time ago we did get the bee Mario power up pack, which was from galaxy, but ik what u mean, like full on sets, not some tiny blind boxes and whatnot (Lego Rosalina when)

It's a fantastic set, but $130 for 1,215 pieces when most of them are just plates and tiles and there are no new parts or prints is pretty high. It's no insult when I say this is a set I can't wait to get on 30% off discount in a year.

Interactive mario function is very annoying to who know original game. Music is not full version unlike NES and on original game music add percussion while riding yoshi but this set lack this too. Set itself is very good but lego mario function is VERY disappointed.
