Real ones have a cool way of cutting rock, in real ones they work by literally passively rolling the rollers with pressure against rockface (when they are cutting rock) which pulverises the rock as it rolls, using much less energy than trying to scrape

There's already third-parties that make metal Lego-compatible parts, but ofc those pieces are expensive. Of course, if you want to make more detailed scale models, with a Lego-like building system, you would have to make those parts yourself or throw lots of money at metal 3D printing

It's nice, but how did it transport the pieces of tunnel bracing into the machine to be positioned? There's obviously enough space at the rear of the machine, but I didn't see an obvious transport mechanism. Very good overall, cutting the baseplate a bit controversial, but it made it work. 😃

they are half pieces right? they slide inside the machine and then it holds the pieces with suction of some kind and position them, that's my guess

Now you should try actually using this for something, like making a tunnel for a model train or a road for a model city. It would also be really cool if you were able to make it able to make curved tunnels that go up and down and side to side.
