Love all those detailed miniland sets and the LEGO sculptures. Love the music that played in the mummy's tomb, very mysterious! (Did you know the Driving School is a favorite of Inspector Bimble?) Great video and cya next time for another holiday home video!

Thanks for re-uploading this, I was very worried I’d never be able to see this specific video of the explorers’ institute again (this was the most extensive video I’ve found of the explorers’ institute). I’m in the process of making a Lego MOC of the 6/7 keys and halfway through designing them this video disappeared. But again thank you so much for making this available to watch again. (I’ll still never forgive legoland Windsor for turning it into a toilet…)

Ha, the commentary of the guys filming, amazing. Shame that some of this stuff is gone, would have loved to check out the Explorers Institute for example. And wow the Merlin figure was originally on a balcony, the explains why he has no legs. :P

Yeah it was a strange new location for that figure, all the internal Lego scenery in the turrets was removed one year and only that figure was saved.

Somehow Legoland seemed so much more full of things back then than it does now. All those big, bright interactive exhibits it was so fun and engaging for children, I mean obviously it is still great now but just different. More about the big rides and lost most of these creative, unique exhibits. I really miss the mazes and the explorers institute. I’m glad ‘the dragon’ is still there though!
