Madhuri definitely worked twice as hard to reach the top on comparison to every other heroine especially with the dance. She was a trained dancer from childhood so she better be good but still was not better than Karishma Kapoor who was not trained but SriDevi was the best. You left out the part about all the men she bedded, working hard on them, how she used to bribe Saroj Khan to work with her instead of SriDevi and give her all the great dance moves, how she made her big tits work in her favor, the plastic surgeries and skin whitening to make her look better...............Before throwing shades on talented beautiful Karishma, you should know that it was she, not Madhuri who had it tough. Imagine she couldn’t progress like the others for many many years because the drunk patriarchs in her family instructed all their colleagues not to give her any good offers in the hopes she would get frustrated and quit. She didn’t quit because she was working to support her sister and mother who went from pillar to post to support them because no Kapoors would help them because they left the neglectful, unemployment drunk. She endured taunts by her colleagues and used to cry herself to sleep. Only when it became too embarrassing for her family, did they stop blocking her progress and then she got better offers and did some great acting but also 2 phenomenal performances in Hindi cinema to date with Zubeidaa and Shakti and quit too early in her new phase. That is real struggle, also dedication in training herself daily to to become a better dancer even though she lacked formal training

True this classical dance has so much grace and soul just like Madhuri has with her gorgeous dignified smile and expressions ...saying that as an ardent Sridevi fan ...Love them both ...yet gotta admit poor Sri felt rushed in her later years due to personal tragedies...I agree with the great truthers RGV here...Sri shouldn't have married...I somehow think Madhuri was the bigger person.
