Thanks fopr the comment, and enjoy your M11 - I had an M10-R on lloan for a while and it took me a good month to really get into the rangefinder system. I now shoot on a Leica M-E and love it!

@@Eliehbk nope, the M10-p was on loan from Leica UK, my p[ersonal Lieca is the M-E and I don't think I will ever replace it

@@SebastianOakley it’s certainly a special camera. They still sell for quite a lot here in NY, if you can find them. I recently saw one at Adorama, pretty beat up, for 3,500 usd.

@@Eliehbk wow! that makes me not want to use it haha! But no I love the colors it procudes, but I have to say I use the B&W setting all the time and love it - but also have the color RAW file if needed - it just fits so right for me and many otheres that I don't think I would upgrade

Great review - would like your opinion have used both. If you had the choice between an M10-P and M10-R what would you choose? If they were priced the same and you didn’t really need more resolution. I think it’s a tough call but haven’t used either.

I would go for the M10-R as it will have the newer tech that will make it last a bit longer overall, plus the 40mp sensor too later down the road

I actually shot the 24mm with the backscreen or just shot from the hip.

No worries, on the newer Leica's you can use the live view easy enough. But an external viewfinder is great when zone focusing

If u love the liveview so much, why do u spend so much money with Leica M? There are so many other manufacturers did much better job with liveview but much cheaper and even with higher performance CMOS. And u could still mount your Leica lens with the adapter.

It's all about personal experience and preference. Yes there are many others that do liveview, but not many that are a rangerinder that I like, that also offer liveview - I understand your point, but it's all down to personal taste

Would prefer a nice M10p (reporter… big wish )over a M11 any day… Especially the black m11 …wouldn’t like that at all… Think the M10p is destined to be a classic….

I personally think the M10-R is the best value Leica for the money etc at the moment, but the M10-P is an amazing camera
