10 years are passed by my work on assignment realized for Leica Camera AG, that remains one of the best client I ever worked with. Leica respects photographers, guys and this is not going to happen with any brand, trust me. Of course the cameras are not cheap and not for any photographer out of here: the only Leica I ever owned was the one I worked for the assignment: Leica X2 and despite to be a p&s the files generated were magic and on print the result is very close to film. I just can say positive things about Leica, their brand strategy and their being 100% professional, making great stuff for photography.

I gave up my Leica’s because I need fast super telephotos to shot sports.

The problem with Leica are not the optics. The fail to follow the lead of Fuji / Hasselblad with advanced in-camera colour science. Look what Arri is delivering with the textures and Reveal or Hassy with its HNCS or Fuji with its film recipes. Leica colourrs, except the S, look like plastic.

Fuji RAW files are not as great, though. I haven’t tried the GFX line but the X-Series files are very surgical in nature.
