You can already do much of these tasks without functions in Excel using the options in the Data tab and Power Query. Also, as Leila mentioned, some of these functions are just replacing older functions which can also get the job done but aren't always as flexible. Depending on your level of expertise most of these new functions are just a niche.
@devonbradford92172 жыл бұрын
A bit arrogant to call these niche. Most Excel users dont work in power query but their business needs would value these new formulas, without having to have expert excel/BI skills.

So exciting. This is a huge trove of functions that replace writing complicated nesting fcns and custom fcns. TEXTSPLIT/BEFORE/AFTER are huge! No more RIGHT LEFT LEN FIND nesting! And then WRAPROWS/COLS replacing the OFFSET(,ROW()*wrap_count+COL()... or weird Power Query workarounds to reorganize sloppy pasted data! LET made all of that a lot easier, but now being able to cut down on LET lines is another game changer. If only these fcns were around 5-10 years ago, I'd have had weeks more productivity!
