Great tips - when I started my gym and wasnt doing well at first, my friends kept telling me, no one in our area wants to workout. ( truth is at the time there was a skill deficit....14 years later. No problems!)

Setting those expectation in the marketing is super important. It’s easy to forget about the persona and value that you present online vs the persona and value of whoever does the customer interaction in the sales process

Great Info, I feel like I can relate with several of those in my business, especially feeling like I can’t get rid of certain people that I need to. I also feel like sometimes rather than figuring things out or acquiring the skills, I do resort to making changes. Great, thank you!

Great training tips! Along with that, taking what the new trainee wrote as basis for some SOPs would really help. That way, you aren’t rewriting instructions every time you hire someone. I’m a trainer.

“Market size is relevant when you hit multiple 8 figures” just doesn’t really apply to my niche. In Australia, market size will become an issue for us much sooner than that. Our total industry spend in Australia is $125,000,000 annually. (In USA exactly the same niche is worth $1.5 Billion). And only 10% of that is spent on marketing (we offer marketing services). So technically to total potential market size is $12.5mil. If we hit $1mil in annual revenue we’ve captured 8% of the total spend in our niche. To get to $3mil we’d need to capture 24% of all the spend. Good news is it’s not the constraint for us yet. But what is a reasonable % of market share to consider that market size really is the reason you can’t grow?
@mikedewilde38435 ай бұрын
Why are you limiting yourself to Australia?
@lizziesophiaTV5 ай бұрын
@@mikedewilde3843 right now because we haven’t hit a ceiling in Australia yet. Our industry is heavily regulated and there are different legal restrictions in every jurisdiction. We’re planning to expand into the UK because it’s fairly similar from a legal and regulatory standpoint. USA is a much bigger market but every state has different regulations in our space.

What if my market isn't exposed to a 1st world tier product..?? Case in point: YOUTH SPORTS COACHING in the USA, EUROPE & AUSTRALIA is well developed in AFRICA its barely viewed as a serious industry as the governance of sport as a whole is quite mismanaged... HOW DO I CHANGE PEOPLES PERSPECTIVE & have them understand that the value of my product which is set at 2.5× the current mkt rate yet the value i offer is 6-7× the market rate & would be at per with the 1st world rates.
@mikedewilde38435 ай бұрын
Very difficult to change perspectives under your circumstances. Reduce your rate to market value instead of 2.5x... Reduce until you have resounding proof that using your services has advantages for young anthletes. Show the outcome of athletes who you've coached and that will change people's minds.
