This is great! I love all this debunking of nerdy stats! The intro was great, too! Thanks for keeping it real. Brother, and not drinking the Cool Aid!

It looks like you had an amazing time at SCA. I love how you asked for your tamping station in person, LMAO!!! You've been wanting one of those forever! Fantastic video as usual. Binge watching you to catch up today, Lol! ~ London

Good morning Omniel: Thanks for this weeks video offering... I found the temperature offset portion rather interesting even though I've never considered needing that feature while brewing espresso. Your video this week lasted long enough for me to drink my pour-over (then paused video to make a cappuccino) and drink my cappuccino as well. I haven't purchased any of the Good Brothers coffees for awhile so I may have to visit their website soon, especially since I'm running low on fresh beans. I'm looking forward to seeing more from your trip to the Specialty Coffee Expo in Chicago this past April. Take care & I'll watch again next week, ☕Kerry ☕

Thanks for sharing 😊. Just wondering if you read the temperature when the water runs through it not in the cup, would that be more accurate as the temperature in the cup has been holding up a bit when more hot water continuously getting into it? I’ll get mine sometime next week and hopefully I can try my first pull soon. BTW Not sure if you have seen Lance’s video regarding the temperature readings? 😊

Good morning. The temperature before hitting the cup, would be a few degrees hotter, but I have no means of measuring that. I was more concerned with the change in temperature do to the "temperature offset" settings, than the actual temperature at the puck. Regardless, I had no other way of doing this. Thank you for your comment, and have a wonderful day.

Think it would be more accurate if you warmed the Pyrex pitcher up before taking any temperature readings. The probable reason it was hotter the second time was because the Pyrex was somewhat warmer than before.

You dont set the offset in the standard menue. Its wrong. The Offset must be set in the "hidden" menue. Greetings from germany

@@OmnielCapote Hello, 1. Turn off the Bianca 2 .Press plus and minus at once and hold it. 3. Turn machine on, still pressing plus and minus 4. After starting you see now KPC 5. Move with minus to menue point EC 6. Set the offset fitting to your machine. Done! Regards Bernd

@berndbreyer1568 Hello again. It looks to me like these two settings have different intended uses. The setting you're mentioning here is intended to permanently correct the loss the machine experiences while brewing. On the other hand, the setting I address on the video, is meant more as a temporary adjustment to act as a form of temperature profiling while pulling a shot. I don't think you can profile a shot to pull colder as it runs, nor will it start at a cooler temperature and finish at a hotter one as shot pulls. I'm not sure if I'm getting my point across, but I hope this helps. Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate your support. Have a wonderful day.

Hello Oly. Buddy, I recorded a whole video answering your questions, and you will see that soon. Don't worry about asking questions or disagreeing with me, I'm just some dude 😅. You are always courteous and kind, and that's all I ask. The main objective of the video, was to see how much of a temperature change I would see by using the "Brew Temp Offset" setting on the machine. Thank you for your comments, and your support. Take care my friend, and have a wonderful day.

My friend, what do you expect the offset settings does?
@oly7744
@oly7744 4 ай бұрын
@OmnielCapote when talking about offset, most of us refer to boiler temperature vs. brew temperature. Nothing you can achieve with the 'Offset' parameter in the Bianca LCC. 🤗
@OmnielCapote

@oly7744 It's supposed to raise or lower the temperature by the amount of degrees you set it for.
@OmnielCapote
@OmnielCapote 4 ай бұрын
@oly7744 Exactly, I was expecting the temperature to go up, or down, as the shot was pulling.

I recently bought this machine, and was only getting warm lattes. So I increased the offset to its maximum. There was no change. My conclusion: that 2 second rule when steaming milk? Ignore it. It needs to be really hot.
@OmnielCapote
@OmnielCapote 2 ай бұрын
Hello John. Let me start by welcoming you to the comments. My friend, what is the 2 second rule? How come I've never heard of it 🤷‍♀. When steaming milk, you should steam until the milk jug is very hot to the touch. But let me know about the 2 second rule that you heard of, I'm interested in perhaps debunking it in a video. Nice to have you here on the comments. Thank you for watching, and have a wonderful day.
@johnhoyle4401
@johnhoyle4401 2 ай бұрын
@@OmnielCapote thanks. I read that if you can’t hold the jug for more than 2 seconds because of the heat, stop steaming. In my recent experience, that’s way too soon.
@OmnielCapote
@OmnielCapote 2 ай бұрын
@@johnhoyle4401 Oh, I see. I had never heard of that, however it sounds very logical. If the milk jug is so hot, that you can't hold it for more than 2 seconds, the milk should be hot enough. I'm surprised that you still find it not very hot. Well, everyone is different, so as long as you found a technique that works for you, just make it your way and enjoy it. Thank you for the conversation my friend, and take care.
