I don't like to be negative in comments, but I cried inside when I saw you hit the side of your PF twice after tamping. Lucky for that pre-infuse or there would of been all kinds of channeling...

That's a really old school thing that most people don't do any more, because now you're more likely to end up with a channel by tapping and polishing. If you watch the David Schomer videos on here from the late 90's he has a whole "tamp 40, polish 20" method with a tap in the middle.

Nice extraction! Do you have LCC electronic pre-infusion turned off ? Or set it to 5s pump on and 3s pump off? What basket is that ? 20g ? How much grams coffee you've grinned and how much grams have you dispensed ? Thanks!

Just tried this technique. Very nice extraction. So many ways to use this machine. So happy with my purchase from 1st line. Keep these instructional shorts coming. Coffee 1st 😄

What does the paddle regulate? Flow rate? Or pump pressure?

Thanks for the video! (even though you've burned the grind for 35 s with the portafilter locked into the grouphead )
@marottajoe3 жыл бұрын
To try and avoid this very thing I keep my baskets not locked into the portafilter. I keep the portafilter locked into the grouphead and grind into the basket then I remove the portafilter add the basket tamp install the portafilter into the grouphead and brew. I have a Strega.

Jesus, this puck prep. At least use a scale. Great profiling though.
