Slawek: your presentations are the very best I have seen. Thank you for being so clear, making purposeful demonstrations, and also answering questions here on YT. This is amazing, and I look forward to obtaining my very next machine and supplies from you soon. Best wishes. -CG

What did you go for in the end? I'm now torn between the two...I prefer the joystick style steam knob on the ECM and I know you can upgrade to the flow control...like that the Bianca comes with a bottomless that is a nice touch

Hi Slawek. I have the possibility to get a really nice deal on a new Lelit Bianca V2 (yes, the prior version) and I would like to know if you consider it a quality machine, like Profitec or whether there is a distinct quality difference?
@pyrosho8043 жыл бұрын
Hi Slavic, I saw that you carry both Lelit Bianca and the ECM Syncronika. Since both pretty much has the same features which one would you recommend?
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I would give the edge to the ECM based on build quality but if you add the flow control it costs 30% more than the Bianca and if you want the wood then that also adds to the price.

Does the pid preinfusion overwrite the flow of the manual flow control? Not sure I understand what the pid preinfusion does when there is a manual flow control?
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada3 жыл бұрын
Pre Infusion activitates the pump for a short burst but the flow is still regulated using the flow control device. For example, if it was fully closed you wouldn't get any water flowing through. Normally this type of preinfusion is set to a short amount of time, just to wet the coffee a little to allow the puck to swell before subjecting it to the full extraction. With the flow control you can restrict the flow and soften the preinfusion and make it much longer .

Im in a toss up between this and the Profetek 700...what does one give up by going with the Lelit Bianca instead of the 700? On paper the Bianca looks a more feature rich machine, especially with the ability to profile out of the box. But interested in what the Hive mind thinks.

Nice tutorial video, thanks for sharing. Have 1-question. As it is 2-boilers with total 2800watt (boiler & steam together), if I do one by one step (brewing first later steaming the milk), will this machine take only 1400watt ?

Is there any similar patent/mod for a machine with the Bezzera Heated Group (not E61)?
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada5 жыл бұрын
Not currently. The flow restrictor on the bz group is located in a different location so it's not something that can be easily retrofitted. A new machine would have to be designed with this

Great interview! Just a question, can the dual boiler machines usually be powered-on with separate switches to each boiler? It would be very useful when we just need heat the brewery boiler to brew the coffee and hot water for an americano, while turn on both boilers only when making latte.

Hi, thanks for the video. Is it normal for the grouphead pressure gauge to go to 8 bar then dip to 7.5 bar and then continue to build pressure to either 8 or 9 bar? Thanks.
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada3 жыл бұрын
This could be related to your flow setting or your grind. The best way to test is with a blind basket. A blind basket should have consistent pressure because it is solid. If you are getting consistent results with a blind the issue is likely the way the coffee is ground and/or distributed
@glichasasha7503 жыл бұрын
@@iDrinkCoffeeCanada - thanks so much for your help. Yup the blind filter works fine, no pressure dip at all. I will fuss with my Mazzer Mini and ser if I can eliminate the pressure dip. It only dips at the very beginning of the extraction while it is building up pressure. THANK YOU!!!!

@@glichasasha750 yes, there is a break in period for burrs. As your grinder goes through more coffee it will become more consistent. This is entirely normal

@mathiasterheggen61035 жыл бұрын
That was no pre-infusion you did. When you turn the lever all the way to the left from the start, you close of the water to the group head. In that case no pre-infusion happens at all (the pressure gauge never rising is clear indication that water never reaches the puck). You need to start with an open lever, allow some pressure build-up (2 bars) and then turn it off for the desired pre-infusion time before opening again for extraction.
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada5 жыл бұрын
You are correct that when the flow restrictor is fully closed that no water goes through. If you move it slightly counter clockwise you do begin opening it. It is possible to preinfuse at much less than 2 bars. Are you suggesting stopping the pump entirely and then resuming? That's a technique that I haven't experimented with but I will give it a try
@LowsHand5 жыл бұрын
@@iDrinkCoffeeCanada - I'm owning the Bianca since beginning of this year and loving it. Just try as Mathias explained - it works perfect! Keep in mind : With setup from manufacturing the paddle is slightly open in closed position - if you like you can reajust the paddle...
@wytstriped4 жыл бұрын
@@LowsHand I was watching a different video, and I thought it said it was also possible to programme a pre-infusion through the PID/Control centre, without manually using the paddle. Is that right?
@BensCoffeeRants3 жыл бұрын
@@wytstriped I don't think E61 machines do that, there's a quick automatic built in pre-infusion (pressure builds up to about 4 bars for a second or two before ramping up normally) in many E61 machines but usually with flow control they install a stiffer spring in the bottom part which prevents that from happening so you get more manual control.

What do You think about the Build Quality of the machine?
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada5 жыл бұрын
Hi, it's actually quite nice, I like the rounded edges and over all I think the machine is well made
@LowsHand5 жыл бұрын
Hello Martin, the Bianca has standard components from the BG61-market - so this is the same quality compared to other 61s. The sheet is a little thinner compared to ECM or Bezzera but thick enough for solid feeling. You'll get an awesome machine with lot of accessories for a very attractive price!
