For everyone wondering if these are as delicious as they look - THEY ARE! I made this recipe today and OH MY. They are amazing. I definitely recommend making the glaze, it really ties everything together and takes it from great to amazing. If you don't do the glaze it would be like eating cupcakes without frosting - not the same! I made the glaze extra lemony by using the juice from a whole lemon instead of just half and it was perfect. Very lemony but not too much and oh so gooey. I highly recommend this recipe, its sinfully delicious without being sickeningly sweet! Thanks Laura!

Laura I have to be honest - I love all your recipes but this one for some reason is just too much deliciousness to handle. I have literally come back and watched it like four times. ***** gonna agree with candiappleblack here and say that any fruit would be perfectly fine. Just be aware that you are mixing cherries, which can be tart, with lemon, which is tart. Thus, you might want to cut the amount of lemon zest - just a thought!
