I really like your cake, is delicious!! I just made it. I altered a little, I thought 3 cups of sugar was too much, so I used 2 1/4 cup. And because I didn’t used the candied peel, I added 1/2 cup more of cranberries. I bake often and I’m very picky, this is the first time I run into your recipes, and I love it!! Thank You.

Ms. Stephanie may God bless you! I couldn't wait to bake this cake and when I did it came out perfect! Tasted even better the next day 😄. I used Orange cognac for the cranberries, used 2 3/4 cups sugar instead and added 1/4 tsp more of the baking soda. Thank you so much for what you do!

Another perfect recipe from Stephanie Jaworski. It is unlike any other lemon cake. Those soaked cranberries give a burst of lemon flavour. It is dense but is still fluffy. This is a huge cake! It is an equivalent of 4 regular sized loaf cakes. I enjoyed this cake thoroughly. Thank you very much. ❤️

I have dried cranberries, lemons, rum, 6 eggs, homemade butter, new bag of sugar, and powdered sugar. But I still have to go to the store because I ran out of all purpose flour when I made your cinnamon rolls. Drats! My favorite part of this video was watching the glaze get poured on. Glad that part was not cut short in editing.

I baked this yesterday, but without the cranberries, instead I added 1tbs of squeezed lemon juice to the batter, and brushed the cake with another 1 tbs of the same. I didn't have baking soda and instead used 2 tsp of baking powder; when replacing baking soda with baking powder apply this: 1tsp BS= 4 tsp BP it came out delicious and looking perfect

I was just about ready to throw in the towel on continuing to make a cake from scratch. I've made 3 Bundt cakes which all 3 landed up being very dense with gluey stripes. The money and time spent leaves me so disheartened to have not yet succeeded on making a cake that I feel proud of 😕 I found your video and maybe just maybe I'll attempt one more try with the help of your video instructions. One mistake I made, I was using the whisk beater attachment instead of the paddle attachment on my kitchen Aid Mixer 😣 If that Makes a difference. TY

When you weigh your eggs, what kind of dish do you use to put them in before putting it on the scale?
@joyofbaking3 жыл бұрын
Just a glass or metal bowl. Just make sure to zero your scale after putting the bowl on the scale and before you add the eggs.
@maoueno87393 жыл бұрын
@@joyofbaking The reason I ask is because, I thought that when you put your eggs in the dish, a part of the number that the scale gives you, would be because of the weight of the dish that you used that is holding your eggs if that makes sense
@joyofbaking3 жыл бұрын
When you use the scale, put your empty dish on the scale and then make sure the scale reads 0 (called tare). Then you can put the eggs (out of their shells) in the dish and weigh them.

@lindacharron40218 жыл бұрын
I reduced the sugar by half a cup and I added extra butter, because I couldn't get it to cream with so much sugar. Leaving out 1/2 a cup of sugar was perfect. Its would not be an overly sweet cake even with the 3 cups.
