For those of you who don't know, the movie is based on a book of the same name. In the book, Olivia's mom left her after getting pregnant as a teenager, and Olivia's dad was sent to prison after getting convicted of armed robbery and manslaughter. Yeah, the book is actually pretty dark in some ways.

Yeah, like Wen could at least vent to someone else for a change. Olivia literally has more trauma than him. He didn’t have to keep piling it onto her I said this in a reply to another comment here, but even just thinking about how much more trauma she has from her loss hence the smaller amount of family members she has compared to him - that should at least give him something to think about, making him realize he should be more grateful.
@maroonggirl3 жыл бұрын
Of all the people he could bitch to, Olivia's probably the worst option. I get he had a crush on her, but he's still friends with Charlie, Stella, and Mo. Any one of them can relate to the "wah my family sucks" thing. They've all got normal families. All Olivia has is a dad in prison she doesn't really talk to and an elderly grandma. They can bitch about their families and take them for granted. Olivia doesn't have that option.
@butterknifepatten44552 жыл бұрын
okay but that's literally the definition of pulling a "who had it worse"? im not saying she was wrong for wanting him to stop venting to her, but just because someone is in a worse situation than you doesn't inherently always mean they aren't willing to hear you vent, especially if they're your friend

Honestly, 'She's so gone' is such a bop! Another Disney Channel original movie that I think is pretty underrated is 'Let it Shine'. I remember (idk if this happened to you) I had such a difficulty watching when it first aired because it was airing around the same time as 'Rags'. So I would just switch channels whenever it got to commercials-
@wndr12143 жыл бұрын
Dude I literally remember watching Let it Shine live!!! Like I was at a family friend's house and we had the movie playing on all the TV's in the house. So even the adults were watching it in the living room while I went between two bedrooms and sometimes the Living room to watch it. One of my favorite memories 😄
