As a kid who watch almost 7 years of Team Edge while growing up, the channel falling off was not due to the amount of effort in the videos or any of the people in them; it was solely the kids like me just growing up. Team Edge will be less something you hated for it not working out and more something that jump started y’all’s careers. Im 16 now and I’m Proud of what yall have made with your lives and watching all of you guys start beautiful, happy families. The sadness of the channel leaving is completely overtaken by the fact that yall are doing what makes YOU happy and not what fans are controlling your lives to be. Proud of you Joey.

I don’t believe team edge was failing, the viewer base was just growing. Starting families, buying houses, taking on more responsibilities. @@iambear.6526 Same thing. Never heard of them. Never heard of this person either. Was going to watch it and then decide not to. Saw the OP comment and they are more wrong than they think. The real reason strong channels lose viewers is not because people are growing older. Its because there are millions of channels out there that do content. There are so many channels that do this or that. A person can get sick and tired of stuff from one content creator because of a number of reasons and find someone who can fill that slot. There are so many channels that a viewer can find the exact type of content they like. Keep in mind that 5 to 10 years ago were peek views when there were only a few channels. Now anyone can go viral and start a channel. Many will start out strong and flop while some will keep growing. Its all about keeping up with the trends and giving the viewer what they want to see and not what you want to see. I know how this goes because I watch a number of channels that would do very good if they would only do their most popular videos. Yet they still keep putting out crap and less of the popular videos because that is what they like and only a handful of people like. Also people get sick of watching the same thing over and over. If you build stuff and it takes more than one video to build it the views will drop because no one wants to sit and watch you build that thing for months or years on end. It gets old very fast. I watch a channel where a guy builds and fixes things yet he has more than a dozen projects going at once and does all kinds of videos. It keeps people happy, some mad because you do not get to see the video finished for a long time. Yet he just finished up one project not long ago yet I have a feeling that we will see another video of it in due time.

Hi Joey. I am 15 and I grew up watching Team Edge and oh my goodness I’m so glad to have had you guys be a part of my childhood as well as countless other children around the world. When I found out that it was coming to an end I was very sad but I knew that it was more than likely for the better. However, as I head off to college in 2 years I have been struggling with what I would want to do in life. Recently, I have thought of creating things. Whether that be physical, digital, or any other type, I kinda want to learn how to make things myself. I’ve really always had a knack for it. Anyway, I’ll stop yapping because right now I feel like I am talking to a celebrity or an idol of mine. If I had to make one contribution to your channel, I would say you could maybe turn the rocket nozzle into a swivel chair that you could use to easily get from place to place in your studio. You could even have a description about what it is inscribed on it or something along with something to honor your grandpa. Anyway, love you Joey! I hope you see this and reply! ❤❤ (Btw, I watched the whole video and it was great! I loved the production, the background music choices, the b-roll, and the commentary. It all came together so well and it wasn’t hard to watch through the entire thing. Great job 👏🏻.)

Checked out this video because the color scheme matches my “in my head” dream shop. Glad I did. A lot of things you said resonated with me and gave me optimism for the next stage of my work life. I look forward to what you put out next.

You have definitely put in the work, my friend. The work to perfect your craft of storytelling, the work of becoming a great maker - just look at the amazing workshop you built. It is beautiful and it is highly functional at the same time. On top of that you just made me watch a KZbin video 2/3 the length of a feature film and I didn't even notice. It is captivating. You certainly earned my subscription.

I just finished watching the entire video and I can confidently say I can't wait to see your other videos and to see what the future holds here with you. I remember being there when team edge were making backyard videos and its crazy to think about that it's almost been 10 years. I was 9 years old when I found that channel and now I'm 18, and still I love seeing all of your channels and the different projects you are all doing. I send as much love and support as I can and I hope you can keep your hopes and dreams going. Much love. -Alek

It’s been pretty cool growing with you, Matt, Bryan, and the rest of the crew all these years. We are about the same age and these life transitions resonate deeply, as I sit here with my newborn daughter. Congratulations on making the change, I’ll be here to watch!

This is the first time I've seen J-Fred in my KZbin suggestions in ages. I'm super happy it happened. I learned more about him in this video than I did in all the years of watching Team Edge. That shop looks amazing. The branded touches look great. It's as much a studio as it is a shop. Very cool aesthetic. Congrats on the relaunch of the channel.

Crazy that I found you while watching other Wordworking channels. I used to watch TeamEdge all the time years ago and loved the fun that y'all seemed to have with each other. Love to see that you're in a place where you can do what you love, instead of what you have to. Team J-Fred Forever
