This was the progression of our 1947 Plymouth...bone stock with three-on-the-tree, flathead 6, with just brakes upgraded. Next time it raced a couple of years later... 3800 series II L67, T5, LSD, Crown Vic front subframe. It is hoot to shoot for the IoE than see how you can take the car after winning it.

My Mom drove one about a thousand years ago. We got one with a bad engine and then ended up going down Broadway in New York city in a 1964 C30 hay hanging everywhere with a Toyota Corona on the back. This was the car that I was run over with.

Volkswagen W(anything) is extremely welcome in Lemons and we'll take an Audi 4.2L V8 happily for a swap in just about anything. They are EVERYWHERE in junkyards, make a ton of power, and also are complete nightmares to work on/work with.

79 Cadillac Seville is a firebird WS6 car under the skin, all the circle track parts in the world bolt to the chassis, of you could get a BMW motor to run, it would be a hella car to do it with, even 4 wheel disk brakes that you can super size to anything up to corvette brakes

Only problem with the X5 V8 loophole is that engine barely will live in a soccer mom's car, well enough a race car. Good luck with that idea. Love the wacky combinations, but I don't know that cheap engines that need really expensive parts to be reliable are a good thing for Lemons.
