You may consider porting the game to the mobile platforms after the Early Access release. I know it might be a long and difficult process, but I think it will help you raise some extra funds to continue supporting the game/start working on another when you finish this one. You deserve to be seen and fed with what you create, because what we've seen so far looks great in terms of animation fluidity, stylizations and implementation

I love the art and mechanics of the game, but still something's missing... feels like there's no purpose of having a house and crops, are those edible and provide healing when fighting? Is there any other purpose for having a house other than aesthetics?

Yes, crops provide food for health. House is for Craftbench and storage etc.

Housing does quite a few things in Len's island. It's a place to rest your feet peacefully, It's where you spend your hard earned resources to craft new Items and look at slowly growing collection as you explore. There are some contraptions to allow you to require resources in your housing and of course a place to stay. As for crops you can grow them to decorate your home or aquire better food and meals for the deeper dives you'll get in to.

Cool that you took so many influences but it seems a bit disparate to me, a little bit of everything but doesn't really do any of those things in a big compelling way, e.g. the movement seems way too clunky for an epic dungeon, and the farming could be a thing in its own right. Or to be more philosophical; what is the reason for living out these fantasies? - this is a very important question for game design.
