Haha "unless you have a tunnel," I laughed so loud! Loved your video!! I too purchased the Lena cup and love it! Menstrual cups do take some practice, but will be a breeze to use in time. Cheering you on!

My "tunnel" loves the Lena cup, lol. There's been times wearing it that I nearly forget I'm on my period. I definitely recommend water-based lube, and using your kegel muscles to help with placement of the cup.

This helped me a lot because I have never used a menstrual cup so it was nice hearing about your first experience with it.

Clueblue109 Ahh thats great! :) I hope my experience didn't scare you at all, I'm a complete beginner at using a menstrual cup so i expected a slight struggle :P I hope you decide to get a cup as they're fantastic!! xx

one word: LUBE. I found it super helpful to use water based lubricant when I was first figuring out how to use a cup. I also do think it is easier to remove when you are actually on your period because of the natural lubrication in your vagina while on your period. I think so many people forget to mention that lube can be used to remove too, if it is hard for you to get your finger up there to release suction. I hope you have continued trying!

Loved this video! Your description of how your first time using it was really relatable and made me feel better because I had a similar scary/painful/awkward experience trying it when I wasn't on my period (yikes!). Thanks for sharing! :)

Great video! I subscribed, you have a lovely personality and screen presence. I've been watching Bree for about a year and just now mustered up the courage and my Diva Cup gets here Thursday! I'm weirdly excited, disposables have really made life harder. Anyway, I must ask (if you don't mind) what ethnicity are you?! My hair is EXACTLY like yours and I rarely see people with hair so similar to mine so I always ask! You're beautiful!

Thanks a lot for your review! I found it very helpful. Hope you will be happy with the Lena cup! I started with a soft and small cup (Meluna) and that was great for me just to figure out how to use a cup, it is harder to get a soft cup to unfold but the great plus of a soft cup is, that you can´t hurt yourself with it. Afterwards I switched to a less soft and bigger cup.

I purchased my lena cup about 3 months ago, when inserting the cup try to RELAX and continue pushing it up, dont be scared and with more practice later on it's a breeze. I use the punch in fold and I also had to trim the stem a bit

I really like your video! I ordered mine last week after i found out about it like 3 years ago but was way too scared to try. I like how you described your troubles inserting it and taking it back out because most youtubers just say "and then just pop it in and take it out" and make it seem so easy but i imagine it will be quite the struggle at first

Ur supposed to put it in at a angle when u use the punch down fold.

This was such a helpful video! I also just got the Lena as my first menstrual cup. My experience was almost exactly the same as yours! I think it could be really great, I'll just need some more practise :)

You can fold it into a "U" shape to remove it Bree has tips on that

I struggled with insertion and removal. I think it just takes some time to practice. I think you can look up tips on how to remove. Bree has some videos about removal.

Haha, i had the same moment of panic my first time removing this cup too, LOL. It was a literal mess.

I started with a iris cup. It's super soft. I recently ordered the lena small and large but haven't gotten the chance to use it yet. I'm really excited about it. That being said with the removing the cup it really isn't that hard. I did pretty good my 1st time which I was super nervous about. I cut my stem off and when getting it out I just squeeze the bottom of the cup to break the suction bare down and pull at the same time and it usually comes right out. I don't use lube but I am gonna start. Usually I just wet it down with water but that doesn't always work.

I didn't like the implanon at all. At first I thought it was great, but then I started to get chest pains, and I never had them before I got it so I had it taken out. Then found out I'm sensitive to the hormones in Birth control.

I hope you are planning to make regular videos for your channel, because this one is absolutely lovely! Inserting and getting the cup out gets easier btw. I am also a beginner (only started a couple of months ago) and I feel like it is a learning curve. After my first disaster I watched a lot of tips on different channels and the helped A LOT! Good luck with your channel! xx

+Efje K. I'm definitely planning to make more video's! I cant believe I made my first videos 4 months ago!! It's just insane how fast time flies. But I'm returning very very soon as I've finally had my implant removed just a week ago :D Get ready for my coming off birth control journey plus many other videos. Thank you so much, you make my day!! xx :D

are you going to make another review once you gave it a proper run with your period? I've been using the diva cup for 2 years now and recently switched to the Lena, but I haven't got my period yet so I'm not sure how well it will work for me. I hope it works great for you on a proper run! also, I'm vegan too! :)
@vegankerri72199 жыл бұрын
A Beth I most definitely will! I've had the Implanon for quite a while but I'm soon getting it removed so once I get a proper period ill test it out and report back :) Love that you're Vegan!!
@amybethh19 жыл бұрын
VeganKerri when are you getting it removed? I'm glad you are! I just think birth control is so terrible for women's bodies. the diva cup wasn't too bad, I still recommend it but maybe not for beginners. I leaked with it sometimes or had trouble with it opening and also I've got a low cervix and I would feel it when sitting down even though I had the stem cut off. :p
@harmonyluljeta31029 жыл бұрын
when I put my meluna in I usually have to make sure that the stem and the cup is up just passed my pubic bone, in my vagina, so I dont feel it at all. This obviously resulted in me cutting the stem mostly off of my cup. After I trimmed the stem, it worked like a charm! also when you remove the cup, you may have to just pull slowly or kind of walk it down slowly with the stem before you can release the suction all the way. The usually doesn't hurt when you're removing it at first. After you get it down enough to squeeze the cup, problem solved! Love your video and I'm definitely subscribing! :)
