NEVER give your bunny pine shavings, random weeds to chew on, lack of hay/pellets, never pick them up like they can’t break their backs, never throw yourself on your rabbit, never keep two different genders together, never keep bunnies together when they’re not fixed they will fight to the death, and never stage a rescue!! This makes me so angry & breaks my heart! I've only had our bunnies for about 3 weeks & even I can clearly see that every part of this "rescue" video is wrong... on SO many levels. Those bunnies need to be rescued from HIM! The other thing I noticed in the video is that he said they are in Florida. It is so hot there. I am originally from Texas & no rabbit should ever be kept outdoors anywhere, let alone in the South. Both of these people look as if they are on the verge of sweating and they aren't even the ones covered in fur. What is their plan to keep the bunnies cool? Outside, in an enclosed coop, in the summer in Florida?! Are you kidding me?! When our bunnies bink around INSIDE our house, they can easily get too warm... in Montana...in June. In our home, our little guys have cool granite to lie on & we keep the temperature in our house around 65-70 degrees NO MATTER WHAT. There doesn't even appear to be any water dishes for those poor bunnies! This video genuinely makes me sick to my stomach...shame on them both! Thank you for sharing this because they do need to be stopped. As I watch this video, it looks to me like they already owned these rabbits, neglected them to the condition they are in & then staged a rescue video. 🤬 On a brighter note, I really appreciate your videos. Being new bunny owners, your videos are so helpful in learning all the things a bunny owner should educate themselves on. Thanks so much!

I have 8 rescue buns , currently their 5yrs-10yrs old and their treated 2000x better then his so called rescuing.. and almost all of em I took in as unweaned babies.. And I'm forced to house them outside, it's a garage I converted to a rabbit house. Due to severe allergies I can't share my lounge/ sleeping space with any furry babies.. but they have space , controlled climate, and each other while I'm not home for company.. and when I'm home and weathers safe they get supervised outside time to run, dig and graze in the fenced in front yard. What he's doing is disgusting, I don't have the luxury or funds to get my buns - well bun checks at the vet 1-2x a yr... But I have 20yrs experience with buns and knowing signs when their sick or something s coming on, I'm well versed with their care , and my only rabbit vet in a 3 hr radius is only a phone call away, and when a problem is coming or they need their vet they go!! This jerk hasn't even called a vet to check, that maybe they need a examine!! The urine scald needs treatment, and the ear mites could lead to serious issues.. and that crap he tried feeding em could give colic!!

One of my rabbits was dumped or escaped. Someone posted about him in their yard and I went to try and catch him. They had caught him, but by the time I got there he had escaped again. It took me about a half hour to get him and it was not easy. Once we got home and he had some time to relax, eat, and drink, he became extremely friendly and was climbing all over me and flopping next to me. This video seems so staged. Even though my boy was super friendly post rescue, he was still terrified during the rescue itself. I could never imagine a dumped bunny just sitting and accepting being caught.

Go to 7:25 in your video. This is where he first gives away that he knows there is a second rabbit out there (i.e. the whole 'rescue' is staged). He switches from talking about a single rabbit (the one he just caught) to rabbits plural. ''You can tell these rabbits were neglected. They were standing in their own pee''. So many flaws and issues, and at the end when he put them into that chicken coop without a single piece of hay I just wanted to die (and probably the rabbits did too).

One time a Rabbit from the neighbour break out. She was so trustful, she never saw me in her life- but when i sat on the floor and called her, she runned towards me. She was so trustful and healthy, looking well fed and had very good fur - but even she, runned when i tried to get her. After 3 hours in the middle of the night ive finally got her and she was staying in my house. Luckily i had two buns at the time so i could gave her safety, food and water an everything she need (seperated from my buns of course in another room) She was safeley returned to the owner who was so glad to have her back. She managed to escape because the little daughter left the garden-door open. In the end- if a bunny gets picked up SO easely, the animal KNOWS the person, the smell and the movement. This is not a normal behaviour to a stranger.

Girl, it's not the outdoors thing that's the problem. The problem is he has no clue what he's doing and doesn't care to know anyway. This is basically "how NOT to house your rabbit outside." I don't know where he lives but given he sounds American, chances are he does not live in a climate where it is even humane to keep rabbits outside 24/7. - You can and should make sure that every centimeter of an outdoor rabbit habitat is rabbit and predator-proof. - They have to slowly adapt to outdoor life. With the right housing and security, they can learn what spots are extra safe, like an upstairs level with solid walls where they can retreat to if they feel threatened, lots of lookout spots, and friends to communicate with. They support each other when they feel stressed, and they communicate about the environment. They can basically become part of the environment from the safety of their secure habitat and they learn to trust their habitat's security and let me tell you, ours LOVE it. - They are far more capable of dealing with cold weather than you'd think. It's the hot weather that really kills them. In most parts of the US, rabbits can't live outside for at least half the year because the weather is way too hot. When temperatures drop below freezing, then you gotta step in, but as long as they can be out of the rain, wind, and direct sunlight with plenty of good hay, they do really well. - Their place should be large enough to give them enough space to run around and it should be 100% secure so they cannot escape, top and bottom included. - You don't let them eat whatever, no good rabbit owner lets them roam free in places where they don't know every plant that grows there. This dude doesn't even know what grows in the pen... He should be able to identify every plant in the rabbit's vicinity by name and know whether it's edible or poisenous. It's not the outdoors environment, it's people putting rabbits in a hutch outside and calling it a day. If you just plop a rabbit in a house somewhere, there is no way that rabbit is not gonna eat chords, plastic, or human food. You protect them against it. Why would you think you can't do the same outdoors?

I do want to say something about how he was holding the bunny on its back. I know how you said it was unnatural for a bunny to be that calm while on its back, but when you put a bunny on its back it goes into a stress response that keeps it from moving. So that would make it completely normal.

So I have subscribed and have alot of content to watch. Thank you for your educated content! My abandoned bunny is a coffee colored floppy eared bunny. He doesn't bite..beautiful..very friendly..won't let me touch him..but comes right up to me..nudges me..smells me..starting to react to my voice. I think I have had him for about a week..free roaming him. Haven't settled on a name yet...I'm thinking Baily or maybe Hudson (yes they are off of liquor bottles..Bailys Irish cream..and Hudsons corn whiskey) no I dont drink..my sons bar. I know the bunny is a boy..but have no idea how old he is. An 8 yr old boy moving from a house to an apartment..left it in their yard..and the kid told my 8 yr old nephew that he could have him..my nephews dad didnt want to keep the rabbit..so Aunt Susan (me) now has the rabbit..and I am loving him! I need to find a vet and have a checkup.

I love seeing you tell the truth! Thank you. Also, while I know you’ve done a video on this before, could you revisit rabbit hemorrhagic disease? I am a vet tech for an animal shelter in western WA. We’ve just had our first confirmed cases in the state in the past month. These poor bunnies were also indoor only and very well cared for. Rabbit rescues in my area are holding vaccination clinics and vaccinating hundreds of rabbits at a time and our shelter is vaccinating all of our buns as well as our wonderful fosters own pet rabbits. This disease has such a horribly high mortality rate and RHDV2 will often present even without bleeding. I’m grateful that my bunnies are vaccinated, but I still use the utmost caution when working with stray bunnies. Please encourage your audience to seek out a rabbit savvy vet, house rabbit society or a rescue to learn where to find vaccines in their area. Medgene is producing a killed virus vaccine in the US so the vaccine isn’t as difficult for places to get as it’s been in the past. It’s just so sad to see how fast rabbits pass from this disease. Also, rabbits living outside are so much more susceptible to infection. No more useless deaths and help to protect the wild rabbit population! Thanks Lorelei.

They would not just sit out in the middle of a field calmly. The woman said the bunny was going to be for their little girl. WHICH IS A TODDLER- and can’t even take care of an animal yet. I also heard a lot about cages, so I’m guessing their going to get a bunny and cage them. I really hope they choose to free roam, and research.

As a vet tech, I can definitely vouch for this being true. You need a small clinic or, specifically exotics clinic. The reason many practices don't see bunnies unless they are specialized is because bunnies have a very different kind of system (from dogs and cats), and many older vets were not taught much about exotic/pocket pets. Also, when it comes to more serious illnesses because they hide sickness well, most pass before owners are able to take them to a vet. I encourage you to look into exotic/pocket pet veterinarians. They are becoming more and more common!

That is when I come to clean them and feed them. When I, for some stupid reason, change my schedule to 4 or 3 AM, they will panic for a few seconds. Giving them food would be waste of time. They have a large enclosure in my room, but rather not pick them up when it's feeding time. They don't like to be picked up when they are still in the process of waking up. But because rabbits are voiceless and in history, they were only farm animals not considered part of the family, they get to be treated so inhumanely? This makes me so frustrated. Also there are so many predators here, I see snakes around my house every day, A snake could easily get into that chicken coop they are keeping the rabbits in and the rabbits would have no escape. :(

Jacob Feder has a lot of wildlife who shouldn’t be living in human houses, such as tigers and chimpanzees. He’s really no better than Joe Exotic or Doc Antle! 😾

That was so painfully obviously staged. I don’t see how ANYONE could believe that.

I know this is from a year ago but the first thing that horrified me was he put them in a bin with a cover. It's amazing they didn't suffocate.
