Less connections are less likely to have a leak on your end, affecting your pressure test. Fieldpiece only looks at the low side for pressure testing.

Nice video brother. Well done. It's funny, aside from the pump and manifold (I use just the probes 99.9% of the time), we have alot of the same equipment. I use the same hoses. I USED to use the same Y-Connector, I use the same scale, and of course the probes. I replaced the fitting on my pump so that it has two 3/8" flares so that I don't need the Y-connector and I get way better flow. I can give you the link for the part if you want. Then tru Tech sells the Navac 3/8 flare caps for navac pumps, so I have them on there and they seal up the other port well if I'm only using one. See ya next time!!

Thanks man! I’ll have to see if I can replace the 1/4” fitting On my pump.
@winstonwright36133 жыл бұрын
On most pumps, it's just a threaded fitting. Most are a standard 3/8 npt fitting. You can measure the top where the threads come out and there's charts to tell you what size thread you're dealing with. But no matter the size (as long as its removable) they make replacement brass fittings to output to whatever flare size(s) you want. Do a quick Google search for "anderson 54045-0606", and you'll see the double 3/8 flare fitting I used.

Curious about no rag around the filter drier , I’ve always been told to wrap it good.
@HughesManHVAC3 жыл бұрын
I could have put some heat block around it to stop the burning of the paint but the txv is a mechanical valve that cannot be over heated or it will fail. The filter dryer is not mechanical and the small amount of time it took to braze in the dryer had no effect on it.

Question for you what would be the reason the txv valve freezes up ? The compressor what would be the reason the compressor has ice build up on it ?
@jakem1173 жыл бұрын
The reason you might see a thermostatic expansion valve freeze, is because it is at or below the freezing point of water

I’ll have to go back and see what unit this is. But normally you can just dump out the 24v wire connections in the unit of operate it through the control board
