It's such a shame that Lennox Lewis doesn't get recognized anywhere near as much as he should. Holyfield, Tyson, and Bowe are always talked about, but Lennox beat the first two in the pros and Bowe at the Olympics. Not to mention beating Mercer, Tua, Biggs, Ruddock, Bruno, Klitschko, and the list goes on. He was also the last Undisputed heavyweight champion and retired on top, he beat every man he faced due to avenging both of his losses to Rahman and McCall and his draw to Holyfield. True legend of the sport and definitely one of the all-time greats. In my humble opinion 🙏

He was the best of all of them. A CV stacked with big names, whom he often destroyed. I was at the Ruddock fight and it was just an annihilation. Proved it time and time again. I have him second only to Ali in the HW division. A nightmare of style, skill, power , size for anyone.

You cannot say that just because Lennox could beat the new gen of boxers, menas he’s better then the older gens. The generations of boxing has been slowly declining in strength. In the 1970’s, everyone was strong. 1980’s, there was mike Tyson, Jose Ribalta, etc. 1990’s, lewis dominated, because he was the only one that was unbeatable.

Watch the Larry Holmes vs Ken Norton fight from June 9th, 1978, especially the 15th round! You might have already seen it, so my info will be old news to you. But, here I go! Many view this as the greatest heavyweight fight ever! It's definitely in the Top 5! The 15th round is some of the most amazing boxing I've ever witnessed for a couple of reasons: 1) These two had already been going toe-to-toe for 14 rounds; their cardio and conditioning for this fight was next-level! 2) They both connected with some colossal and thundering blows, especially the last minute of the round. This was the fight where Holmes claimed the heavyweight title! The fight continually changed momentum, with Norton getting the upper hand one minute, then Holmes reclaiming it. The scorecard had them at 7-7 on rounds going into the 15th! Those final 3-minutes of the 15th round were the stuff of legends! There have been many great heavyweight fights: 1) Ali vs Frazier in Manilla 1975, 2) Foreman vs Lyle in 1976, 3) Bowers vs Holyfield in 1992, 4) Ali vs Frazier in 1975, 5) David Tua vs Ike Ibeabuchi in 1997. However, this Holmes vs Norton fight still ranks supreme in my book!

Holyfield was very much past his prime here and still gave Lewis hell. I think he may well have beaten Lewis if he had been in his prime, because Lewis got drawn into fighting the fight Holyfield wanted to fight. Holyfield wants a war, because he knows that in a battle of durability and will to keep going, he’s likely to win. Don’t give him what he wants. Lewis got run ragged by Mercer for the same reason. His greatness was that he did win these, but he could have probably had a far easier time fighting his own fight instead of theirs.

Ну и Кличко неплох был ты написал, я далеко не фанат Кличко вообще то, но он один из лучших супертяжей в истории по факту, и многие его смогли победить?Льюис вот смог будучи уже в приличном возрасте. Да и вообще если открыть его послужной список, то можно увидеть ещё несколько весьма сильных и непростых соперника с хорошими рекордами.

They see him there all the time. Unfortunately as I checked several times he was not there when I was. I wanted to see if he would Reconsider the autograph! Back in 2012, he declared bankruptcy...child support to 11 kids drained hus finances and his Georgia mansion was upside down on equity. Sounds like he pulled out of the finacial hole. Happy for him.
