At one point Lennox and Tyson were seriously thinking about doing it. Lennox actually teased it with his jacket with Tyson's picture printed on it and said he's been training. I meet Lennox Lewis in South Beach in 1999 when he was training. He came into my friends small hole in the wall place to get a snack or juice, Former Muffin Man. I was standing by the door on roller blades when Lennox came in and still towered over me, I am 6'1 without blades on. Some Cuban lesbian sitting at the counter asked him "Hey Lennox can you beat up my x-girlfriend for me?" He smiled and winked at me as he put his arm over my shoulders and pulled me as if I was his close friend and replied "Darling I get paid millions of dollars to beat people up!!" Even when Tyson was training, discipline was a big issue for him. I remember seeing an interview where he talked about what he got up to the night before his fight with Buster Douglas... But there's more to it. You can't just train stamina like that, and Mike really struggled with his. If you watch the Tyson vs. Lennox Lewis fight again, you'll notice Mike was completely gassed after the first round! He came into the second round puffing hard through his mouth, clear as day he was exhausted. Blokes like David Tua could go 24 rounds without breaking a sweat!

Mike Tyson also has a long history of illness. Manic depression was actually diagnosed pretty clearly and he was in his early 20s. This is also typical for this disease. He seems to have had hip surgery, spine surgery. This also fits the style and intensive training. We're talking about a competitive athlete. In my opinion, the rare style comes from the European fencing school and the Venitian school. It had to be adapted to modern boxing, also because Tyson is so unusually compact for a heavyweight. There are some things that really need to be neglected when you go into battle with a dagger and short sword and that is very serious. It's about defensive properties, distances and drills. The enormous wear and tear is accepted and fitness issues are also negligible because the scale does not take long, as effective as these weapons are in close combat. Maybe some people should take a look at a Venitian scale with these weapons, then it will become clearer what I mean. She is one of the best in the European fencing school. But I don't want to make things so bad either. Mike Tyson seems mentally stable, he is doing well financially, he has a good environment and his family is doing well. If he really wants it, then what we see is pleasing. It's modern boxing, there are rules, there is a referee and the opponent lost to Tommy Fury, including the cruiser.
