Loved it. There was a smile on Sarah's face throughout the talk. How pleasant and insightful. And Lenny is always calm and a good listener.

"Great marketplaces create the new incumbents." Amazing podcast episode; Ms Tavel is an ACE and Lenny is so good at asking the right questions at the right times. He also comments on a successful marketplace as "aggregating supply that is hard to find". So true!

@13:20 I believe the term she meant for both Pinterest and Evernote's examples is "Stored Value." Sean Ellis cited Evernote as an example in Retention chapter in the Hacking Growth book.

Very insightful! Thanks Sarah and Lenny! I love the current analogy. Sounds like a great way to think about a novel idea in the very early stages.

It would be great to see Professor Steve Blank, the professor of Eric Ries on your show. The listeners will have a more systemic view and framework to develop and build startups. His framework of customer development is extremely useful for early-stage companies.

I loved this but sadly the subtitles dont work beyond 45 mins. As im hearing impaired, hope that this is a correctable glitch. Many thanks
