Love having both the focus on a guest's career journey and ALSO LOVEEEE this new format, where a PM or product designer focuses on a specific feature. Super fun to dive deep into the reasoning behind the decisions made, the psychology, and the various factors behind the strategy of a single product feature. Super cool episode :)

Thanks a lot for having Jackson on your podcast, it was extremely insightful. I've been using duolingo for over 3 months and have achieved perfect streaks but didn't knew what it meant, but now I know about it through this podcast. Amazon episode :)

I'm of the mindframe that no one feature can make or break a great product. it's the entire product experience that matters

I really like this focus on a single feature. Especially one that’s been so impactful. Nice work Lenny!

Lenny this episode is an example of next level detail that will give you a chance to revisit any past conversation in a completely new way!!! I can imagine something like "the most successful features over the last 10 years" being incredibly helpful and valuable to listeners (including me!! :)) Especially all the mistakes that were made along the way. I get a lot of value (and hope) seeing how messy (or lucky) feature level success can be. It provides hope for those who may not have experienced it before. 600 experiments for example! How many teams are doing 100 or even 50 experiments on a particular feature? It also helps me set proper expectations with the team and leadership. LOVE LOVE LOVE this !

This was a very useful conversation to follow, hope to see more like it, going deep into the little details. It felt like a conversation I would have with a friend about the things I'm working on.

I'm wondering how many people actually learn how to speak a new language through Duolingo. My mother has been consistent in French for 4 years and can't speak anything.

that's the paradox - what's good for engagement and "business" does not always mean an actually effective tool. or maybe an effective way to "get started and learn some words" but that's about it

I have learnt a italian and spanish (i know, they aren't very different but those were the countries i visited) from Duolingo. It was a great starting point for both the languages. Then i moved on to watching movies with subtitles, tv shows, and youtube videos on basic conversation skills. After spending a month or 2 on Duolingo, rest of the learning was pretty easy. I am nowhere near fluent or comfortable because i only learnt for a short time. But i could understand what people were saying and have conversations in broken italian and spanish. Needless to say, it made the locals very happy!
