This chromebook is solid. I got this from best buy as an alterative with the old Acer R11 that owned an loved for the durability. Screen is sharp and vivid. Brightness is pretty decent compared to the other chromebooks ive seen. Cant say too much about the battery life since I havent owned it long enough. The feel and build of this feels like the R11, including the keyboard and trackpad. Maybe a little better. An upgrade to this is the speaker location. I hate bottom firing speakers since I like to rest my computer on a soft couch, so the fact that its upwards facing is a blessing. I like the size of this chromebook so i can carry it around easily and also inexpensive that I wouldnt care too much if it got stolen or damage. Its not a slow chromebook for the price even though its 4gb ram. Just dont expect to be a power user on this thing. All in all. I would recommend this chromebook for what it is. Great for on the go trips with small work or general media consumption. I cant say much about the reliability for this computer since this is my first Lenovo chromebook, aside from the HP and Acer chromebooks ive owned so far.

Does your mouse track pad act glitchy? Mine moves the mouse cursor on its own and even randomly clicks on stuff. I already tried a power wash but that didn't seem to fix it so I wonder if there is something wrong with mine? Btw I currently also have 2 Acer R11 Chromebooks too. Want my wife bought brand new and the other one I bought this past summer for $20 at a garage sale.

I do love your reviews! I too like ChromeOS for family members, it really helps remove a lot of maintenance drama. By the way, I have recently discovered your Podcasts. Thanks so much for them, you are making my commute to work so much fun (even the traffic jams are welcome!).

I have an older Lenovo 3i CB. Similar chassis but not a 2 in 1 and lmy has larger bezels and an 11" display. Given that it was sub $200usd and is supported until 2027 my has been a good value. IMO Lenovo makes the best inexpensive plastic chassis. Mine is still solid, no creaks. These days I keep it at work and if I need to do some personal business at lunch or break I hotspot with my phone. The one you reviewed appears to have a much nicer display. The best things about a low end CB are really good battery life and fanless operation.

9:48 The Intel i5 is a low end chip I wonder what Intel celerans are but the reason why I state that point is because Intel Celeron chips run pretty well on a Chromebook like it's decent The n4020 which I had on an Acer 3:15 very cheap Chromebook incredible value for the cost because it runs smooth that's it what was it 1080p IPS touch screen panel had a bunch of ports speakers are okay for laptop standards the speaker is actually were actually good cuz laptop speakers suck but if the Intel I-5 I don't know that's leagues above the Intel Celeron n4020 so if this thing out performs I-5 and its energy efficient that is ridiculous

I just picked up one for $240 - thought I'd try it and return, but this is a hidden gem and I'm keeping it. The screen is bright, the sound is ok, it's very responsive and feels great typing on it - and for me, the size is perfection.

I have this similar one that i enjoy, sure not top of line with best memory but it serves it purpose. I originally looking for keyboard option for my tablet cause not fan of typing on touchscreen and not fan of folio style keyboard as they not really made for the bed. I have a laptop but they arent really made for the bed. Someone mentioned chromebook so i did research to try find something i might like. Got the lenovo 11.6 one that some people think is small but suits my needs. Only complaint is i wish it had a bit more memory, was full hd instead of hd, and the would improve the discord, telegram, and other messengers for chromebooks as sometimes they tend to lag at times. Nothing to major but does get annoying sometimes. I hope lenovo or someone continue to improve their chromebooks and whoever creates the chrome os improve some of the messengers for their chrome os

7:09 Wait a minute so this thing smoked the companion 1300 That's ridiculous That's pretty badass and then if it has a good battery that's damn hell it even beat the Intel i3 which is a higher end ship it's a 10th generation but still that's pretty damn good I hope they make more chips like this I wonder how the other ones do compare though like the other and 1200 or whatever we're going to call it

This is the only small Chromebook with a decent screen however its rather heavy for its size and for slightly more you get better specced 13.3" chromebooks with more ports and a fingerprint reader. I love the color and the compact size but buying cheap is hardly ever worth it. I found it highly interesting that you got 4K @ 60Hz over HDMI to work despite Lenovo saying otherwise, weird.

Must be a QA issue, as my display was SUPER WARM compared to yours that, at least on camera, looks cooler. It wasn't a Night Light bug, as that wasn't even on, and I turned it on and set slider all the way left, and it was just the default white, which was WAYYY too warm for my eyes. Ended up returning it, but if it goes on sale, and I can see my display was a one off, I'd love to get it again. For anyone curious, YES, it can playback 4K SDR .mkv files no issue, even over the CHromeOS native gallery app. Audio too, although it seems to be a little lower than other system audio-- Fully expect that to be a OS bug and not device issue.
