I have the y410p that has the GT755m instead of the GT750m and with most stuff in low, with detail and textures in high, I'm getting constant 24-30 FPS... I think my computer is magical

***** I did mention in the description that when I set everything to Low, I get an extra 4 to 5 fps. With other settings on Low and texture quality/shader detail on High, I'm sure I can pretty much get the same framerates as you. Textures are highly dependent on VRAM size. As long as your GPU doesn't experience VRAM overflow, you won't framerate hiccups (massive, occasional framerate drops). I'm surprised shader detail isn't taxing. Most of the things that can affect your gaming performance is in the Post-processing section; one of them is the ambient occlusion.

byte.me well to be honest I hate ambient occlusion.... The only "difference I see is that everything is darker... I know the real meaning of what id does,but I don't see it... So everything in low(honestly I don't care about water quality... It looks great on low, is not like in AC4BF that the water quality in low made the water look like jell-o. Draw distance? Meh, grass density? Meh....) and textures in high (glorious detail Geralt beard) I get 23-32fps, constant,so...that's great :D

***** Yep, water looks fine even on Low. Honestly, I can't live without AO once I've seen it. Shadows are more defined and objects/characters pop out more. I think if the game added a mesh control, like in Shadow of Mordor, performance would vastly improve. We don't need high-quality meshes for objects at a distance, anyway.

Hey I have a problem for some reason I have been getting fps drops in cs go not sure why from 200 to like 50-60 and did you overclock your computer or add anything in time?

The only other country I know that sells them is Malaysia, but I could be mistaken. I think Lenovo intended to release the add-on in more countries, but then there was much clamor on the added heat the SLI Y510p was producing. What PC wouldn't generate more heat when you introduce another GPU in the system, anyway? People should've thought of that first. Stores also sold SLI Y410ps, but that might also been in Thailand. If you're going SLI, the bigger 170 W power brick is required. The stock 120 W power brick is only rated for the single 750M/755M setup.

+muhammad syamil No, it runs on a single card. The Y410p has the capability to run in SLI, but the secondary GPU is extremely scarce, especially now. I don't know if you'd even find a brand new module of it. Also, you need a more powerful power brick (170 W) if you wish to run your laptop in SLI. Take note that Optimus is automatically disabled once SLI mode is active. Yes, it's advisable to at least have 8 GB of RAM these days.

It depends on the game. If it's a game from 2014 and beyond then it's possible that a single 755M isn't enough to run it well, aside from a select few that are extremely optimized (like MGS5). RAM also plays a huge role, many games recently use a little less than 4 GB -- and you need more for the other things that your computer runs in the background or for system processes.

I'm running GT750m on SLI but i'm guessing i'm not able to play TW3 even at lowest settings at 1080p and get framerates above 30?

luke kin Yup. You'd probably get the same fps I'm getting, at least when SLI implementation is fantastic.

You can try scaling it down to 900p to get more performance out of it. I'm sure the game would still look nice at that resolution.

byte.me damn it! Is it me, or is this game badly optimized for mobile chips. Hell even the ps4 can run this game at 1080p 30 fps. From what i've seen so far in my comparisons, the ps4 version of TW3 only has shadows turned down to low, some others on medium and textures on high. I can't believe even a GTX860m cannot handle TW3 at low + medium settings and get a stable 30 fps. What are your thoughts?

The minimum requirements say you need a GTX 660 to run well. An 860M is weaker than a desktop 660. However, the 860M can either come with a 2 GB or 4 GB DDR5 memory. With the 4 GB config you can max textures and possibly enable more effects. I think the PS4 also suffers from framerate dips down to the low 20s, occasionally, but the XBO version appears to be more stable in that department, though.

byte.me I guess you're right but i have seen a lot of people claiming that the GTX 860m's PC equivalent is a GTX750ti. I do not know how legit that might be but it tends to cross my mind and it puzzles me to a certain extend.

+EmirliOyun TV Most likely not. Even if it has an i7 CPU, it's an Ultrabook grade processor. It's much weaker than full-on mobile i7 chips. It's probably only dual core, too. The i7 my laptop has is quad core. Besides, your Ultrabook doesn't have a proper graphics card to even run the game, anyway. It has integrated graphics only, which is substantially weaker than low-end spec mobile GPUs from two years ago.
