Close to the end of the August 22nd 2012 concert in Amsterdam. Leonard clearly enjoys the crowd singing along.

It must have been soul stirring to see and hear the audience & their reaction to and with Leonard. Watching him take his hat off at the end & listen to them singing- I just cried, laughed and sang- all at once! 💖

In Irish we have a phrase, Ní bheidh a leithéad ann arís, which means 'The likes of him won't exist again'. A true classic artist and a gent.

There’s almost no recording I wouldn’t have listened to from him and it’s really the most immersive audience. Very special, as you wrote too. ❤️

By the way, he did the same thing in Antwerp that year, capturing his audience - even those in the row behind me who did not know him. Also, Leonard was made aware of the suicide of Belgian singer Yasmine who was a lesbian with a broken heart. and who had recorded some of his songs. Leonard sang two songs to her memory: "Bird on a Wire" and "There ain't no Cure for Love," thereby capturing her life and death in two beautiful songs.
