Why do cheetahs run fast? Do they need this speed to chase down a speedy herd of cucumbers? Why does a skunk spray? Did Eve use this tasty skunk juice to flavor up Adam's bowl of rice? My sister, a JW, showed me a drawing of a lion and lamb lying together on one of their tracts. "Isn't that sweet?" No. It isn't sweet. I told her that then the lion would no longer be a lion and the lamb would no longer be a lamb. Also, lions are obligate carnivores (like cats in general) and would die on a plant based diet. The people who wrote this nonsense likely thought not having to protect their flocks from predators would be wonderful. But they - and my sister - were and are delusional.

Exactly!! Muslims are taught that before entering heaven they will be shown all people in hell and invited to mock them. Imagine how you would feel if you saw your mother, wife friends (non Muslim) as you prepare to enter heaven to live forever with 72 virgins (sorry you get nothing if you are female), rivers of honey etc etc. As a human I could not live there in peace knowing those people are in hell. When i asked JW who studied bible with me about possible overpopulation of earth and balance of ecosystems without carnivores they told me that Earth would be able to hold more than 100 billion people if people weren't greedy and evil and that ecosystems don't need carnivores - they need only that we - people - don't destroy them. Put both answers together: it doesn't make sense. If there were 100 billion people on earth, the ecosystems would perish just because of our totally docile activities intended just for our survival (without any greed).

I had many tell me we don't know yet or Jehovah will give us that answer when the time comes. But they tend to have all the answers for people they are trying to convert but when your a witness they don't seem know alot and your kinda on your own, at least I was anyway. But they some how expect for everything just to magically happen and with billions of people still building houses and eating as much as they could for an eternity the ecosystem would be struggling to handle the stress humankind would be putting on it, I mean if its struggling now I can see it being worse with unlimited amounts of people on earth. And as foe animals they need to eat and carnivores exist to consume herbivores so that the herbivores don't eat up all the grass I feel like that's a very simple way to put it. It may be something that can make a jw think critically for once. I still wonder how why my family stays in that religion.

I remember when that tract came out. I was 7 years old and I kept one set up in my room because I thought I could be best friends with a panda. We were told that we'd be able to communicate with the animals but not with words. I was never told how and I didn't know what telepathy was at the time so mind fragile little mind was blown. I don't know if they still use the scare tactic of "Armageddon could be an minute so you must always be ready," anymore but I had cleared space in my room for my panda buddy to sleep😂😂😂. The good news is that whales , vervet monkeys and prairie dogs use nouns . Prairie dogs can use adjectives like size and color to describe predators and human visitors. There are more and more proofs in JW teaching itself that world as we know today wasn't created by Jehovah. After I started to bible study with JW i slowly learned that life isn't product of evolution (in which i still somewhat believe) but that it was created by Jehovah. But then i learned about these JW teachings (among many others): 1) carnivorous animals weren't created as carnivorous (wow!), poisonous snakes weren't created as poisonous, molds, bacteria and viruses weren't created by Jehovah (JW even denied that new and new strains of coronavirus which have been emerging in last 2 years and half were products of evolution), vineyards should be grown on entire earth (it means that vines as they were created by jehovah didn't need certain climate types and would flourish in cold continental climate or humid tropical climate???), deserts weren't created by jehovah (when we were learning about climate and weather patterns at school it was obvious that there has to be desert or at least somewhat arid climate near tropics of capricorn and tropics of cancer due to laws of physics and meteorology itself - it seem that even laws of physics as we know today weren't created by jehovah), there is even too few water on earth to cover it entirelly (and so, i don't find any sense in flood in Noah's days unless it was only local), lately they write on their website in the sense that there weren't climate changes all the times (there were climate changes all the times and JW recognize that earth can be billion years old - many ice ages occured in that time, for example), etc.

A favourite one of mine has a bear, lion and tiger happily playing, eating and resting with each other. The variables to watch are endless as I'm sure many viewers will attest to. It’s funny that biologists are starting to understand that animals do use language. Mostly nouns and prairie dogs can use adjectives to describe other animals including humans . It cracks me up that they think that plants don’t fight against the animals that eat them. . Some taste bad or cause pain or are poisonous or have sharp thorns ! All these are to prevent being eaten. The Bible tends to not think of plants as living organisms that interact with their environment. Plants do the same things that animals do except walk around. They eat , sleep at night, breathe oxygen, etc They can communicate with each other using fungal mycorrhizae and they also use scents, colors and hormones to communicate with insects and animals . Sorry for the lecture I’ve got a biology degree 😁

One thing that's pretty unique about channels like this one that challenge the JWs is that you see very little or no opposition in the comments section. In my mind this is a testament to how well the religion is keeping their members from exploring what's being said about their faith on the internet. By comparison if Lloyd were making the same observations about Christianity we know there'd be plenty of good thumpers in the comments section defending the Good Book. In a way I suppose it's unfortunate that his messaging is landing potentially on fewer eyes and ears among the JW set -- people that could benefit from hearing it.
