I was never disfellowshipped but disassociated. They drove my 13 year old daughter to come very close to complete a suicide, She passed away of lung cancer this year. hi Lloyd just for your inform and your listeners look at what I found in the awake January 8 1947 page 27-28 how the watchtower was condemning the catholic church about the excommunication saying that is was a non biblical disposition and a pagans rituel and then in 1952 in the watchtower March 1st page 131-148 they applying a ‘’new light’’ to apply excommunication on there flocks. The rank and file really do suffer because of shunning, whether it's on the receiving end or the giving one. A thousand DFed people means a thousand broken families, a thousand friends who no longer talk to each other, sometimes for decades, sometimes for ever. Nothing will ever be able to repay the pain this practice inflicted on so many. Even the ones who shun often do so because they're terrified of losing all of their social interactions, and are no less victims.

I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. I was required to "prepare for" and attend FIVE meetings per week...The Ministry School, The Service Meeting, The Book Study, The Watchtower Study and the Public Talk. Along with this, I was expected to get at LEAST 10 hours of "Field Service" or Door to Door each month, prepare and give a "talk" about every two months, and attend all of the Circuit and District Conventions. (District Conventions back then were FIVE LONG DAYS.) I had very little time or energy for anything else, and I rarely did any homework. I was also not allowed to have any friends in "the world" or "worldly" friends. I was not allowed to partake in ANY after school activities...I was not even allowed to join the Chess Club. I never got to celebrate Christmas or have a birthday party...not to mention Easter, 4th of July or any other holiday. And I did not have a clue that I was in a cult. I believed everything I was taught since I was a baby, and like I was trained, would DEFEND "the truth" to anyone that tried to show me the true light or real truth. I was about 40 years old when I began to question what I had been taught. I coincided with them changing the doctrine on 1914 yet again, due to their "new light." According to them, the generation of 1914, is STILL alive, and Jesus has already returned, but he came invisibly. Once I started to do honest research with a lot of it using the "Societies" own past publications, my eyes were opened. (Among other things, they have had one false prophesy after another.) I have now been free from this high control cult for many years, after doing a "long fade" as to avoid being disfellowshiped and shunned, simply for no longer agreeing with their doctrine. One thing to keep in mind...you may....just may, be able to plant a small seed of doubt in the mind of a JW, but they are TRAINED to raise their shields and NOT even listen to anyone or anything that questions the teaching of their Governing Body...especially an X-JW who they refer to as "apostates." They will not visit your church, or read anything you give to them. At your door, they may take it, but they are trained to throw it away without looking at it. Never forget they are truly cultists. And I am so glad I have freed myself from them. Shun me all you want. It's worth it. Oh, and take your "greeting" and stick it sideways.

When my 2 older brothers took me out to lunch and we had a conversation a couple of days later... They said they never agreed with how they had to treat me... Does that make me angry? A bit but I know it is hard to go against a mind control cult. The one thing I have learned, oh so clear, is no one, no group is doing to dictate to me how I treat people, especially my family. But I am one of the lucky ones in my family I escaped. Did it come at a high price. Damn straight it did. Being shunned was very painful. I am good even before they took me out to lunch but what a waste.

Considering the way the Watchtower Society's misgoverning nobodies have flip-flopped on their doctrines over the years that the organization has existed, why should anyone believe them now? After all the untold damage that their unjust shunning policy has caused, it would seem that they should come right up front and apologize to those whom the Jehovah's Witnesses have shunned, even if it means that the Watchtower Society would incur some measure of reproach, not only for their shunning policy but, also, their dangerous "no blood transfusion" policy, and, last but not least, their scandalous covering up of cases of sexual abuse against children in their congregations over the years. It may be painful and inconvenient for the Watchtower Society's Governing Body to admit their wrongful treatment of their congregations, but trying to hide the truth will not work anymore. So a number of people have "come back" because they've told Witnesses to contact and encourage family and former friends to return, they've told elders to be open to these ones and they've introduced some very modest reforms. Just how committed will most of these people really be when they've not been inclined to pursue reinstatement of their own accord for possibly a considerable period of time? Looks to me to be largely a bums-on-seats exercise and I anticipate that many returners will soon drift away again.

This is so messed up! All the emotion because Norway made them change, not Jehovah. If Norway hasn’t called them psychologically cruel, this wouldn’t have happened. And they say it’s Jehovah doing everything he can for one sheep. What sheep? The guy was ousted. He wasn’t a sheep anymore. The truth is, it probably only took very little for them to oust him 8:31 to begin with. “Here’s the boot! Don’t let the door hit ya on your way out, sinner. You’re too sinful to socialize with us anymore.” That’s Jehovah too. And it’s Norway making them change. But I’m glad some people who have no shame and are willing to bow to them again are allowed to talk to their families again. 🙄 Now they can fade quietly and no one needs to shun them 😂 but I’d have more respect for them if they lived authentically and never let watchtower have any of the reins of their life anymore and called them out for this psychological cruelty. These people must be missing their family very much or are otherwise just masochistic.

Bunch of frauds they are. I've been out one year next month. No one has contacted me. Not that I care because I can never go back. I do know a publisher, though that who is in a difficult situation with a young daughter with a severe medical condition. Also married to a non-witness. Has a huge amount of stress in his life and so has missed meetings. As a result he is viewed as spiritually weak and no one pays him any attention. This is not an organization of love. It's an organization looking for financial survival just like any corporation.

This is so touching. You can see he is so touched and happy to return (as tears fall). And as I say that the sudden pause of the GB member (i almost wanted to laugh but happy the crowd applauded on que). My mother would have been so emotional seeing that.

Ik zit naar een tv programme te kijken waar jonge meisjes zwanger zijn geworden waaronder een meisje van 17 die is groot gebracht in JHGETUIGEN gezin is verbannen door haar ouders ouders waren gescheiden leefde bij haar vader is op haar 9jaar misbruikt kon niet meer bij haar vader wonen. Ging naar haar moeder maar ging niet goed kwam op straat terecht zit nu in begeleid wonen met haar kindje ze zei ook haar hele jeugd is verpest😢 heel blij met haar dochter

I always thought that I was a rational person, yet I got drawn into this "religion" thank you so much for these uploads. I'm really not such a horrible person, I've spent pretty much my entire life trying to improve the lives of my fellow humans with learning difficulties. yet I felt as though I had to keep my family apart from my life as I tried to balance out the life that I wanted to live, and the life I was expected to live. I guess that I'm not making any sense now but your videos are so incredibly helpful. I can never thank you enough for your uploads. Please keep up the good work.

That dismissal of family head and families laid out in the Bible as STRICT instruction to follow that they just brought it into their rules to totally dismiss and ignore Jehovahs ruling is absolutely " no words can described how I feel or think of them"

My dad has been interacting with his father since this. They were almost no contact for like 12 years. He's been in pain every time he thought about his dad. My grandfather is bitter and hurt that his whole family shunned him and has descended into wild conspiracy theories to cope. I'm lucky enough to have never been baptized but I married a disassociated man and my dad has only had 2 interactions with him. This fragmentation has hurt everyone of us. Noone is spared

It's so tragic the amount of pain and suffering families have endured because of this belief. While I have not been removed officially, I have chosen to shun all witness family members that are still involved with this cult and found so much joy and peace after leaving. Severing all ties has been the best thing I have ever done. Wish them the best, but have moved on with unconditional love for all mankind as Jesus did.
