I remember watching Rhubarb as a kid. I have not seen the entire movie since I was 10, about 43 years ago. Would like to see it again on a snowy afternoon in February to get ready for baseball!

Nimoy is hard to spot at first, and mostly sits quietly in the back. But at nearly 5 minutes on the counter, this kid in a plaid shirt gets up and says "Wait a minute-- Rhubarb will be at the game tomorrow, won't he, Eric?" It's like his voice hadn't changed yet! Doesn't sound like Nimoy at all. His uncredited role was "Young Baseball Player"; most of the supporting cast was uncredited, but at least also-uncredited Strother Martin had a name for his character: "Michael 'Shorty' McGirk".

How delightful! Not only is that a very young and gorgeous Leonard Nimoy, but the guy with the "charlie horses" is none other than Strother Martin. He was the "warden" in Cool Hand Luke. He had the famous line, "what we have here is failure to communicate". There were some other familiar faces. Oh, how young they all were. But, LN is just a baby, albeit a rather handsome one.
