I was expecting a tragic end to this bio. What a relief to hear that Jacovacci made it through fascism, Nazi-occupied Paris, and was able to start a family and build a wrestling and film career after the war to boot. A true fighter.

Would definitely love another boxing story. Maybe a tandem bio of Joe Louis and Max Schmeling. Their stories are both fascinating and intertwined.

I like bite sized bios up to 30 minutes for figures like this. They have good stories. But bigger historical figures im happy with longer videos

wow, "savage Black Afrikans" have survived for THOUSANDS of years WITHOUT Europeans. Europe, in particular, Italy needed Afrika MORE than Afrika needed them. 🤷🏾♀🤷🏾♀🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾♂🤷🏾♂🤷🏾♂🤷🏾♂

No one "needs" Africa. We existed for tens of thousands of years without it. What do they have that we don't? .

Survive, and not much more. No advancements whatsoever and completely out of touch with the rest of humanity. The same way many species of animals survived, they survived; that’s nothing special.

Fascist doesn't immediately equate to racist. While there was undoubtedly discrimination, oppression, and racisim in Italy - As Simon would say, "because the past was the worst" - it was still better than Germany where racism was government approved terrorism. Mousselini, besides his MANY (MANY) flaws, he did resist Hitler's level of anti-Jew and anti-ethnic policies.

@@Willy_Tepesno, antibiotics are much better now

@@PhilBertran The only thing medical science can cure is bacterial and fungus infections, and antibiotics have just spawned a series of antibiotic resistant bacteria. As for conditions in society, they have deteriorated to levels that are at risk of causing serious ethnic conflicts. By all metrics we are worse off than our parents and grandparents were.
