Bellissimo. Verona..., and in Florence - the "Florentine Camerata" was a group of musicians, poets, humanists and scientists during the early Baroque period in Florence, who met under the patronage of Count Bardi from 1573-1587. They produced monody and opera (Peri: "Daphne", "Euridice" and &; Vincenzo Galileo in 1681, "Dialogo della musica antica et della moderna") - as a counterweight to the then ubiquitous polyphony. Members - J. Peri, Đ. Kachini and E. Kavalijeri,..., Đ. Mei, V. Galileo - discussed fine arts, especially music (theory) and drama. If Vincenzo Galileo had not revolutionized music, I am not sure that his son Galieleo Galileo would have done the same in physics. The connection between theory and experiment in the field of music established by his father influenced Galileo's development as a physicist.
