Capital Steve, is it possible to remove some furniture up top on the fly deck and put in a jacuzzi?
@captstevetests5 ай бұрын
You could do it after market but Leopard won’t do it. It would add a lot of weight up high and affect the stability adversely. I’d save that plan for a larger boat.

What do you think of the build quality issues that have been discussed with leopards as well as warranty issues from Robertson and Caine?
@captstevetests5 ай бұрын
I’ve met several owners of Leopards who are on their 3rd and 4th models so the build quality is garnering a lot of brand loyalty. Haven’t heard anything about R&C warranty Issues.

Nice and roomy for a forty footer, be interesting to see what price point it's at. Cabinet work looks a bit flimsy which lets it down, other than that it's a nice looking boat.

We want this boat but a little scared as this will be our first big boat. Can' you add a joystick to it, I think I read Dockamate works ?
@captstevetests6 ай бұрын
I hear you but I think you’ll find that it’s a remarkably easy boat to handle. Those props are so far apart that you have excellent control with just the throttles and the wheel kept centered. Dockmate would be an option if you get a bow thruster but that allows the same level of control as the helm. Just adds the ability to move about the boat. You could also hire a delivery captain to train you up. But really, this isn’t a hard boat. You’ll be fine.
@Michael-m2l8b6 ай бұрын
I like your videos On these “test” is there any chance you can show some real sea conditions and how the boat handles when it’s blowing a gale, the swell is up , auto-pilot is engaged,and you’re vomiting your breakfast over the side In my experience,that’s a real life test

As the owner of this Leopard 40 PC. I can tell you so far our experience has been great. We owned a Leopard 48 in the past so its our second Leopard. After our initial shake down Leopard was all over our punch list. Headed to Knoxville , TN from Fort Lauderdale as I write. The boat has performed awesome so far. No issues. Plan to run it back and forth to Florida every winter winter. Eventually the great loop. Keep you posted.

Well, that ugly stripe down the side of the hull has to go. The bench seating in the cockpit facing you into the boat instead of facing you to the outdoors is a negative. but the absolute worst, automatic fail is the convection microwave. Microwaves cook from the inside out with radiation, convection fans do nothing to benefit microwave cooking. Convection ovens are regular ovens with fans to even out the hot spots in the oven for even baking and a conventional oven cooks from the OUTSIDE in, the reverse of a microwave. That is why a convection microwave is an automatic fail and not willing to even look at the boat.
