It seems to me it wasn’t the first time that leopard payed the crocodiles a visit during their feasts, also the last foto revealed an eye injury on the right eye of the leopard.

people seriously underestimate lions. A lion would literally go into a crocodile infested water to eat food from which the crocs killed the prey. What makes you think he can't on land?

The crocs didn’t even care. Them not even caring about the hippo confirmed that they were just way too into their meal. I’ve seen this same behavior with crocs and lions before too. Sometimes they tolerate each other and share dinner, other times tempers do flare lol.

Well, we know that animals can be stupid at times! That’s how buffaloes fall prey to lions despite being much bigger in size and being in much larger herds. Same with the water drinkers falling prey to crocodiles. If they chose a shallower bank the predator wouldn’t be able to stay hidden under water until close enough for the ambush.

Something is wrong with the leopard 's right eye. It is probably blind in that one, meaning it's depth perception is compromised. This is likely causing it some ability to judge distances in ambushes or the rare chase, resulting in misses. Makes sense why the desperation to risk it all sharing a meal with the river monsters!
