Whether they go extinct or not depends on a lot of factors - climate change isn't making it any easier for them, for one. Apex predators are an important part of any ecosystem and I wish we (people of all countries) would protect them more so they are no longer endangered.

If I am not mistaken, jaguars have the most powerful bite in the cat world, and they are the third largest cat (in weight) to only the tigers and lions. This was an amazing capture. I live in New Mexico where jaguars were once occasionally spotted. There is at least one jaguar recently spotted not far away in SE Arizona.
