Young Joshua Redman is standing next to him. He had won the Thelonious Monk competition a year or two before that. Probably one of the best sax players of our era(along with Chris Potter). And he has to stand there and just listen to this three note solo just because the guy who plays it is the president.

hehe, "back in the saddle again". You have no idea how appropriate that is. I recently bought a vintage sax to restore and play, after 20 years of not playing. That line could be a theme for the story of my life. It's such a great feeling to be doing something once again, that you loved, but had to stop. It's exactly what I was saying to myself when I managed to get the first few notes out of my "new" 1926 Buescher. :) :) :)
