Carlton Barrett, Eric "Fish" Clarke, Style Scott, Santa Davis and Style Dunbar are all far superior drummers. A One Drop beat is very simple to play btw.

@@hawthorne3889 'far superior drummers' that's one extreme opinion in my view and not at all correct, but of course, and respectfully, you are entitled to your opinion.

Horsemouth never got what he deserved even though he was very talented. But his stories will live on forever. I remember the time he played for Pierpoljak from France on his debut album. It was one of the French albums I really loved over the years. Watching all the way from Vanuatu

Yes-I. Definitely your best video yet Ras Dennis. R, O-C, K - E, R, S... Rockers! . Been watching this film for over 30 years, must have seen it a 100 times. What an amazing line up of top artists. Opening sequence "Greetings and Love to one and all. In I presence I bring coverage of I heights. Love for everyone everywhere...." and of course the iconic moment of Winston Rodney singing a capella version of "Jah no dead" on Key Largo beech after Leroy explains " well right now mi vexed ya know. Dem teef mi bike" definitely my favourite parts. However. Always wondered how Horsemouth got this name so many thanks. Jah Bless.

The scene in Rockers where he is featured drumming on stage with the Cool Ruler Gregory never gets old! I had to digitize that scene to watch whenever I need a pickup or inspiration (I had the vhs, the dvd AND the soundtrack on vinyl and cd)! The golden years!

I've also wondered about that name too for a long time. One of very best drummers along with foundation percussionist Lloyd Knibbs of the Skatalites, Carlton Barrett, Sly Dunbar, Mikey Boo Richards and Lincoln Scott Style. 🥁

Timing, Energy, Excellent Ear, you can tell this was a track done with Horsemouth on the drums, by the flow of song. His drops are legendary, his works are iconic, and he's truly full of swagger. Great video everybody! He is indeed one of the original Rockers.

Everyone who love reggae, and its history as well as the artiste, you SHOULD have the film ROCKERS in your home. That will help you keep the sound and vibe alive of the ROCKERS sound because today there is nothing coming out of Jamaica like in the past. The struggle continues. 9:46
