It is so refreshing to see an OG like Buddha Stretch breakdown battles to the fundamentals and elements of dance and freestyle battles. Thank you for sharing this! 🙌♥️

I love the format too! Most reaction videos play a bit then pause and the reactor talks, then plays again, then pauses.. etc. It's a bit jarring for me and I lose interest (ADHD). I love that you have the commentary while the video plays and we get to see exactly what they're talking about in real time, it makes the experience more immersive. I found Stretch's commentary extremely helpful. A lot of reaction videos big up Les Twins and have nothing bad to say about them, but Stretch had no problem critiquing him from an unbiased place.

When official footage of juste debout gold comes out, please show it to buddha stretch and ask les twins especially laurent the winner is hiphop or not. Win or lose is a very different thing, so anyone can say les twins won or not. But criticizing them “not hiphop” every year since 2009 is so absurd. They can have bad freestyles below expectations and maybe should have lost battles that they won, but that doesn’t make them “not hiphop.”
@essenaqq11 ай бұрын
People are confused about hiphop style preference and hiphop dance. Some people can value Icee over Les Twins, but that doesn’t make les twins “not hiphop. ”
@kiwitrails130411 ай бұрын
The Twins themselves have said they're not hip-hop lol. Larry's approach resembles popping/animation and Laurent is pure All-Styles. That being said, they consider themselves "Twins Style".
@essenaqq11 ай бұрын
@@kiwitrails1304 they were self-defensing because they wanted to dance whatever they like. so they were just saying “twin style”
@essenaqq11 ай бұрын
@@kiwitrails1304 that poppinng animation is borrowed technique and base-style for doing hiphop. without that? you have less character and individual style. even alex the cage has breaking style base that buddha pointed out.
@essenaqq11 ай бұрын
@@kiwitrails1304 and they have been competing in hiphop category since 2008 and don’t think they are not hiphop? lol. even french legends say les twins have hiphop foundation when people ask. it’s just THEY HAVE A LOT OF STYLES INFLUENCED WHEN OTHER DANCERS ONLY HAVE 1-2 STYLE INFLUENCE. JUST LIKE BUDDHA POINTED OUT. Since les twins are heavily influenced by popping and animation, that bothers people like Metals who only know about popping and claims to know about hiphop.

You have to watch the whole thing. Laurent goes in right after you ended the video

Yeah we were about to watch it but we were already running into a 3hr podcast and had to trim it back. The point isn't to prove one person lost or won or justify that, but just provide useful commentary in real time.
