I love how this show subverted the tired “liar revealed” trope we’ve seen in a million over shows and movies. In any other show, Callum would’ve been so mad at Rayla that he and Ezran would agree to go home with Soren and Clauida, only for them to betray the princes. Then Rayla would have to swoop in and save them and Callum would apologize. I like how instead Callum is rightfully mad at Rayla for lying, but instead of doing anything rash, just asks for some space to work through his feelings. Then after he finds that he isn’t able to tell Ezran about their dad, he is able to empathize with Rayla and tells her he understands that she couldn’t tell him because she cares and forgives her. And Rayla even still apologizes for keeping the secret. Characters with emotional intelligence for the win!

Sure,she was going to tell them when they were on the frozen lake in the episode "Through the Ice" but one, not only was that bad time. Two, she still chose not to tell either of them until the ending in "Half-Moon Lies"
