Personally for me, Gus was just so relatable in this episode. Being labeled as the “smart” or “gifted” puts a lot of pressure on a kid. In my experience, whenever it is harder for me to understand something or if I do something wrong, I get panic attacks. Seeing Gus go through a similar experience was kind of refreshing since this barely gets recognized in kids TV.

I know how you feel. I skipped a grade in elementary school, and at the end of the year asked to be sent back to my proper grade because I couldn't handle the stress. At the time, I didn't even know what I meant by that; the work was easy, and I had a couple of friends. I was in my thirties before I figured out the stress I was feeling was the stress of expectations, and the belief that if I didn't stay excellent forever then I would be a FAILURE who doesn't deserve anything good in life. I know this is a relatively small part of the episode, but I love the inclusion of that little breathing exercise. It’s practically identical to a technique I was taught when I was going to therapy for my own anxiety, and because of that, the mental struggles of the episode just hit home for me so much more. For anyone dealing with stress, anxiety, etc., I’d definitely recommend that technique for calming yourself. It helps calm your body physically, as well as making you focus on something other than your stress.

there were 2 hunter blushing at willow scenes, the one u noticed at the end with the hug, and then earlier when he first sees fake willow at 12:09. and at the end of the flyer derby episode after willow says "itll be 52 weeks until calebs next day off" if you look at hunter he does have subtle blush lines too then and then when hunter is going thru trauma flashbacks from gus avatar bubble, one of hunters trauma memories is him putting willow in jail

It was great seeing Gus, Willow, Amity and the rest of the Hexside students being the focus for this episode. I especially loved the scene where Gus and Willow first met at the beginning, and how Willow rushed in to hug Gus after he and Hunter were safe. It really shows that she sees Gus like a little brother. It was also great to see Hunter again and side with the good guys. I just hope that Luz and the rest of the main Owl crew are safe, though. I really missed them this episode.

To me this was one of the BEST episodes of The Owl House, we got Hunter development (and reminder of his relationship with the Entrails), we got to see our babies Willow, Amity and Gus and how powerful they are, Bump being a good principal, the rest of the Hexide kids AND THE HEXIDE KIDS IT WAS LITERALLY PERFECT!!

Can we talk about how Hunter, blushed at “Willow” and knew that she wasn’t really Willow at all and how he pays attention to how she plays flyer Derby. I can’t stand how toxic fans want to point out their age difference when she’s 15 now and he’s 16,plus they can be friends for now and he can figure out his feelings for her as well. But anyways I love how he’s a big brother to Gus now. It’s so cute and sweet how they are looking out for each other and slowly trusting each other.

@@HaydrogenBomb It was revealed at the beginning of the show that Willow was 14, so people stuck with that age. So, they were saying that 14 and 16 was too big of an age gap, however, it was revealed in this episode that Willow turned 15 (in one of the photos in Gus's room).

I love seeing each characters personal growth and journey in this show. 😊 That moment when Gus and Hunter were helping each other out of getting through their panic attacks reminded me when my best friends helped me get through it. Having support really means a lot. 🥰 I love how they are becoming friends. 💜 Also showing Willow and Amity’s friendship grow and have been developing so far was so beautifully done. I hope we continue to see more. 😄

I don’t think Huntillow(I think that’s how the ship name is spelled.) would be canon. And if it does it’ll stay as just hunter crushing on Willow. The end of the season is surely coming and that means it’ll be rushed, unlike Lumity. But another thing, Hunter liking willow is super cute and adorable. Especially with Willow, being the nicest to Hunter.(Minus Luz, because Lus and Hunter have more of a sibling relationship.) Their relationship is bound to grow at some point. And I hope it does!!

This episode was epic! I really felt like Gus needed more screen time and I believe an episode for him was overdue. I also like his dynamic with Hunter, they are kinda like brothers who were looking out for each other. It’s so cute! I think it’s the same with Willow and Amity, it was kinda overdue but with the lack of episodes in season 3 I guess it’s harder to include that but it also spreads the development out anyway so, no need to complain! Oh and I have a suggestion, have you seen The Dragon Prince before? It’s a “kids” show on Netflix. They are 3 seasons out so far but 4 more have been confirmed.
