I love how you link all of the exercises. I learnt so many variations in my training they all got muddled in my mind. Thanks for the reminders of the important aspects. Any tips for getting people out of their knees into their glutes/hamstrings? If their don't feel it in their seat is it simply that y are lacking strength in those muscles?

Can you please share this exercise using the ball on the tower?
@OnlinePilatesClasses3 жыл бұрын
I'll put it on the line up. But, super simple so you can get started. Grab one of those bigger exercise balls. Place your legs straight and your ankles on the ball. Then lift the hips up. Likely something you've done on a mat. Then you add the bar and arms in. Just be mindful that the ball will/can move around.

Thank you! We don’t have the large stability balls but I am thinking of trying a BOSU with several yoga blocks underneath in a single layer to give it some height . The BOSU on the box will probably be to tall. I know it’s not the same but it may be worth a try !

Thank you for uploading. Is there any comment for breading skill? (Inhale & exhale or hold) Btw I like your pastel color equipment 😉

Hi Sunny, there are some notes on the breathing in the show notes. It's inhale to lift your hips and press your arms down. Hold your breath for 5 counts and then exhale to roll down and return the bar. And, I LOVE all my equipment colors! Have you seen my bright pink Wunda Chair? Thank you for watching and let me know if you have any questions or requests xx~LL

why do they call it breathing
@OnlinePilatesClasses5 жыл бұрын
It's a great question. It's been called breathing since my teacher took from Joe Pilates and Romana. Most exercises actually don't have breath cues (nor did they have very unique names). This exercise you inhale to lift the hips and press the arms. You hold your breath for 5 counts and then you exhale to lower down.

Lesley Logan Pilates Thank you so much. I always wondered why they came up with that name. In my training we have a couple of exercises that use specific breathing cues: ie chest expansion but I could not figure out why they isolated the name specially to breathing in the exercise you demonstrated

@@digidesings Most exercises really didn't have a name. Over time clients often named exercises. So, sometimes if a client asks and I don't know and my teacher Jay Grimes who took with Joe doesn't know I make something fun up haha and then I tell them I made it up! xx
