It's a jumbled mess and very inconsistent when they jump around stories and premises while switching up authors midway through an arc and leave them unfinished. It's discount Old Republic. Main villains are literally Force immuned plants called Dregnir and Space Pirates. Nothing original in the slightest.

I am one of the Starcraft fans that like both, just not some of SC II's story decisions with Kerrigan. This high Republic is starting to sound like it's terribly made from the ground up the more I look into it. What i've discovered since I was last here was, it seems to reset the timeline, ignoring the fact the republic has existed for thousands of years, made the republic smaller, and the Jdi characters look well. very unlikable and high and mighty. They seem to act like the Protoss Conclave from SC I.

​@@ArgentWolf95 It's all well and good to take inspiration from something else and implement it and make it uniquely your own, like how George Lucas originally did when making Star Wars OT. Unfortunately the current Lucasfilm isn't talented and creative enough to implement such things without it appearing to be ripping off other material. There's many instances and characters within High Republic that are just plain derivatives of EU characters and stories just warped and Disneyfied by the untalented creatives in Lucasfilm. When Respawn writers are telling a better story than your own in house studio writers, that's a massive L and red flag. High Republic needed more planning and much better talent plotting that Era out than jumping around stories and characters with different writers. There's no cohesion at all just most likely mandates from Lucasfilm on how Respawn needs to implement High Republic into Cal Kestis story. Space Pirates (Nihil) are mentioned in Jedi Survivor but only in subtitles, they're just called Marauders.

@@Vertical_Horizons I agree, so far they make the High Republic actually interesting despite the reality just because of the story, despite the way it actually looked overall, the Disnefying of the OR has not gone well with me originally, especially when that involved designs that uh, well, to put to politely, made Star Wars look way too much like those activists on twitter, especially those hairstyles that used to be 'cyberpunk.' I do like the Protoss look though, if I had any say over it. I'd canonize the Old Republic as the ancient republic, Mando wars and everything, then integrate the High Republic aesthetics, but actually creare a better threat than space pirates, make it the result of a big break up at the end of the Old Republic, so the Jedi and core worlds need to restore what they had, mybe the Sith Empire won before Darth Bane's rule of two? things like that, because this High Republic contradicts everything else we know.
