That is flap meat in the grocery store or you can buy a huge amount at Costco for far less than ribeye or even New York cut. I use it marinated on the bbq seared quick on high heat and then sliced against the grain. Make sure you choose one with good marbling for great flavor. That cheesesteak looks amazing 🤩

I’m in south Jersey right outside Philly, and they also use an orange cheese sauce that I’m pretty sure it isn’t real cheese or much of real cheese. I prefer provolone. But the mozzarella and Gruyère sound great!

Kind of funny to read all the self appointed health inspectors here. It's home cooking, she is not serving the food to strangers. She probably doesn't film the hand washing because it doesn't interest anyone, and she has four healthy children she didn't poison so far. Give yourself a break. If you can't say anything positive, just don't say anything at all.

A male perspective on what is pretty much a female-oriented channel: 1) Philly Cheese Steak. If you are really on a time crunch, Cheese Whiz will save you time and be more authentic than chopping up expensive regular cheese, especially for kiddos. 2) Street tacos. One or two tacos per young child, with no side, may be enough. But if you have boys, particularly plus 12 years of age, three or four tacos, per, with a couple of sides (beans, rice, etc.) will be necessary. 3) Salad. Great salad, but as you allude to, some carbs to accompany it, whether it be lots of bread, or potatoes, or rice, would be essential for me, as a hungry male. Adolescent boys would likely eat the plate and napkins if it was just the salad in front of them. Truth. (I had three boys.)

Considering she likes to use real quality food, that automatically nixes the cheese wiz authentic or not. It’s also gross tasting.

What happened to the beautiful video format you guys used to have? Dont get me wrong, this is nice but there are a million videos just like this online. I started watching you because there was this absolute magic and I loved it! Your videos felt like a treat. I remember binge watching your videos with a friend and then we would discuss at play dates. We both felt so inspired with our own gardens and honemaking. But.. weird lighting and shadows, jumpy editing, the music you hear on hold..., I miss the fantasy of it all. I know my friend has stopped watching. ☹️

You are my go-to when I need some company in the kitchen, and I've been watching your channel for a very long time, but unfortunately, whatever is happening with the new camera look is not working for me. It's really hard on my eyes and head to try to watch what looks like a little, cut-out, superimposed Shaye on a blurry background. I'm guessing this is what everyone else is seeing, too? It honestly reminds me of Pee-Wee's Playhouse when I was little if anyone else remembers that. I'd love to keep watching if I can. I'm hoping this isn't the new format. Just some feedback.
